Pointing a gun at someone is a threat. What the video portrays is subtle intimidation, essentially offensive but legal free "speech" or expression.

You are correct in that you may choose not to be intimidated. However, the statute is not against being intimidated. The statute is prohibiting the attempt to intimidate with a creditable apparent threat.
Im not ok with anyone from any side using intimidation ant the threat of violence to promote a candidate. But I do acknowledge it is legal.
