He knows... “I continue to study my film hard, try to understand particularly last year why maybe I affected shots, but I wasn’t blocking shots and it frustrated me. I wanted to know why that was the case because a lot of times, I communicate, I understand what we want to do, but I don’t always execute at the very last moment… It’s been a lot of watching film and when you get in a rhythm you feel good, your intensity rises and just more opportunity for me I think allows me to continue to excel, improve and be an impact player on both ends of the floor,” Leonard said. This would be encouraging to hear from a first, or even second year player. A six year vet....not so much
False choice? It's not unreasonable for someone to want Meyers to improve, but to also not be encouraged by what he actually says about it.
So i'm not really sure why this happened because he blocked that shot. But it seems the powers that would be took it away.
The fact is, he's here now. So, no sense rooting for him to fail. It doesn't help the team in any way. If he continues to post solid numbers in limited minutes, it can only improve his trade value. If you really want Meyers gone, you should be cheering for him to have a career year. BNM
But nobody is going to trade for him, at least not without sending an equally shitty contract in return. And that’s not me hating on Meyers, teams just don’t have the money. He may have some value next year as an expiring, but at that point it’s just a contract.
When I hear Meyers say things like the last part, it makes me think he's spent a lot of time with a sport psychologist
Meyers looks like he is over thinking. Trying too hard. Contrast how he moves to a.c., who is much more natural.
To the detriment of their team. I was so wrong about Allen Crabbe. He has turned out to be straight up garbage.
If he plays every game like he did last night, sure. Why not. Who wouldn't want a backup center who averages 15/12 in 21 minutes with a +16 in the box score. Hell, if Meyers played like that every night, he'd be a bargain at his current salary. Nurk averages 15/10 in 25 minutes and most people thought we got a good deal when we re-signed him for 4 years/$48 million. Of course, you and I both know the odds of that happening make winning Powerball look like a sure thing. But, I'd rather see that than see him suck just so we don't resign him. BNM
How many years have we heard this line of hooey. He's too smart for the NBA. He should be a pro wrestler.
After watching his charge, unnecessary dunk, spike ball into player, grab ball and flex, mean face turned girly smile then to top of off....technical!...up by 30 with 2 minutes to go...it’s hard to imagine a world where the answer isn’t yes.
