What if you notice your super depressed kid has a gun in their room. You probably should steal it, for their safety.
The greatest part is @EL PRESIDENTE is the only one who has brought up he was called a racist slur, and then told @PtldPlatypus , who never brought race into it and only talked about the actual act of violence as an adult as being nasty (no race indicated), that he was "whitesplaning". El pres, my man, in that argument you cast it onto him. Platy was talking about human beings. You were bringing up race and attributed it falsely to him. That's not fair to platy. I could extrapolate that out to someone who we all know, but I will digress.
Legally obtained? I don't have a right to take anything they have purchased. Confront? Yes. Steal? No. Under 18? Confiscation of their possessions is my right as a parent. Over 18, but not obtained legally? Probably let the police intervene. Theft is wrong.
Then I'll just answer "No, stress-inducing words are not a physical attack" and leave it at that. You're intelligent enough to understand the difference. If you can't figure it out and really want to discuss it further, you're welcome to PM me.
No, but I'm not demonizing the choices of the black man's reaction to being assaulted and being called an N-bomb like others in this thread are. I'm defending his right to beat down ignorant bitch asses.
A kid who called this older black gentleman an N-bomb and then assaulted him. You are saying, in your capacity as a privileged white, that the black gentleman overreacted and should have been more in control of himself.
The racial slur and the assault is WHY he beat the kid. You can't just whitewash that part of the story to fit your narrative.
The student needs to learn respect, but not that way. Before the teacher started throwing punches, he was the victim. The student assaulted him by throwing a ball at his face. He harrased him by throwing out racial slurs. The student should have been brought to the principle. His parents and the police should have been called. Maybe a night or two in juvenile hall. The video would have gone viral. The student might have learned some humility and respect then. Be forced to look at what he did wrong. But, the teacher threw punches, and the student became the victim. The students actions will go excused. The student will think his words and actions were justified. He will learn nothing.
I am saying, in my capacity as an American citizen, that the American citizen who is subject to the laws of America should comport himself in a manner in keeping with those laws. Race does not enter into the equation.
