Was at the game so behind in the thread - but CJ's greatness aside, ET had a monster game at both ends. I cannot believe how much I'm liking his play this year!

What’s impressive is our best player can score 13 points against on of the best teams in the league and we still win

After hating on Turner for the past few years, I’m willing to admit that he’s the heart and soul of a very strong bench unit. I’m so glad that the coaching staff and front office finally found a way to use him properly.

Great team win and a breakout game for CJ!

    On to the next one.

Very much agree. I really like how they're using Turner now. Use him for his strengths.

Makes me think there might be hope for Johnny Bravo.

I thought Layman played well again. He altered some shots defensively. I wish he had more of a green light offensively. You can tell he still plays like he doesn’t want to step on anyone’s toes. If Moe ever gets healthy I’d like to see Layman on the second unit where he can fly free. Don’t think he’ll ever get that freedom with the starters.

I was a little behind while watching the game on the DVR after work so I like to take notes while watching the game. I am posting this before reading through the comments:

    1st Quarter

I love that they actually called a travel on Giannis early in the game, hopefully that gets in his head.

Good things seem to happen when Layman takes it to the rack, he needs to stay aggressive. On defense though he’s lost Middleton twice for open 3’s which we can’t have.

Luckily Middleton just got his 2nd foul so he has to check out. However, Nurk just got his 2nd too, fuck.

Meyers time early tonight, please be good Meyers. First play he loses Lopez and a couple of plays later he has a horrible closeout to give Lopez an open 3.

We’re getting great shots on offense but I’m kind of worried about the pace of the game so far.

I really wish Turner would pull a Ben Simmons and just refuse to ever shoot another 3 even if he’s wide open.

That is not a fucking foul on Chief when Giannis initiates any contact and Chief is just standing there, fuck that. Don’t reward that bullshit.

    2nd Quarter

Stauskas is really struggling so far, I want to see him try to create more for others. As I type this he hits his first jumper.

Meyers continues to struggle bad on the defensive end as Henson gets a dunk and Lopez hits a 3 on him.

ET says shut up hoopsjock as he drills a 3 from the corner, I still don’t like it though, but it was off of Stauskas penetrating which always seems to lead to good things. Meyers with a 3 too, nice!

Shoot that 12 foot fade-away with a defender in your face all day Giannis.

Good shift for the bench here in the 2nd quarter even though the Bucks brought most of their starters back early.

Now it’s Collins turn to lose Lopez.

Hey Layman got to come back in before half time! Too bad the starters are fucking up our lead.

Alright, it only took until the 2:09 mark for the Bucks to get their 1st foul this quarter. For some reason Divencenzo is getting vet star privileges to be able to hand check and be physical with our guards.

Decent half, I’ll take it, but we have to avoid the mistakes in the 2nd half.

    3rd Quarter

How does Aminu fill the lane perfectly on a fast break but not be ready to get a pass? What the fuck is the point of even cutting to the basket if you aren’t going to catch the ball?

CJ is getting some really clean looks this game. I don’t mind him shooting every time if he’s gonna be this open.

That is not a fucking blocking foul on Aminu. What the fuck is he supposed to do? He’s literally in perfect defensive position and Giannis tries to go right through him. Once again the refs are rewarding him for just running right into someone.

I love when Nurk crashes the offensive boards, he’s really hard to stop if he has good position.

Fucking Brook Lopez, now it’s Nurk’s turn to give him too much room. Even his misses look right on target. It’s too bad Meyers isn’t this aggressive every time he is open for 3.

Yes, the Collins and Nurk lineup! Too bad Turner is part of it too. Please stop shooting 3’s ET.

We have to double Giannis if he has that deep of post position on ET. That is way too easy for him.

Take that 3 pointer all day Giannis, you too Henson.

CJ on fire! It’s nice to see him have a game like this. He’s definitely skewing the numbers of this lineup, ha ha. How’s that broken ankle feel rookie?

    4th Quarter

Well this quarter couldn’t start any worse with an 8-0 run. Meyers stops the bleeding though but of course we give it right back.

Please stop fucking shooting 3’s Turner.

We have a big lineup in the game, why can we not get defensive rebounds?

How many times does Giannis have to get a dunk on ET in the post before we send a double team?

Is it Aminu’s goal to airball a 3 pointer in every game this year? At least he hit the wide open one later on.

Keep shooting those long jumpers Giannis. He’s coming out of the game, thanks Bud!

ET tells me to shut up again as he hits another 3. How many 3’s has he shot this game? Like 5 or 6 I think.

You know it’s our night when Aminu is swishing a contested 17 footer off the dribble.

At the end of the game we should be feeding Nurk in the post a little more.

GREAT WIN! 8-3! FUCK YEAH! TY CJ!

A lot of other solid performances as well!

Great win. Obviously they benched Giannis with 4 minutes left to tank for Zion!!!! You guys see him play tonight. UNREAL! Those who think he is just a "dunker", are clueless. He made Kentucky all americans look like middle schoolers!

We actually beat them with Dame scoring 13 points. Jake Layman scores 10! But the real story is all about the 40 point effort by CJ. He must have read a few S2 posts about trading his talents elsewhere.

The best part in this is Red's shoe squeaking as he starts to slip. Turn the sound up.

His 3 shooting this year is pretty bad. 4-16 25% through 11 games. But i must admit he was open for a few of those and at least last night a couple went in.

Who do you prefer as the 5th player in the Collins and Nurk lineup? I guess the question for Terry is does he want a 3rd shooter with the two bigs ,or the 3rd ball handler. I can see a case for both.

My preference will probably always be to trade CJ because of the lack of size and massive contract, but I have to give him credit for his play the last 3-4 games... and not even talking about the scoring outbursts... it has been really noticeable that he is making an effort to pass more.... you can see his eyes moving on every play instead of the black hole he was in years past... if this Bucks victory is a sign of things to come tho, I’m happy to keep roster as is, but will still be hard to truly trust until they win a playoff series

They fell off with a buck of other coaches too.
agree with that but if Lopez had cooled off in the first half, it would have been a run away win.
