So he made them look like 3 levels better than you at your extreme best?

I think good Harkless would be the best case scenario for that lineup (at least on our current team), but unfortunately he's hurt.

I guess for me it's situational. Last night if CJ is going off I'd rather have a shooter like Stauskas out there. Turner was left open for a reason. Layman would be my 2nd choice.

Admittedly Turner played really well last night, I just don't like him with that particular lineup. It's not like he was stopping Giannis anyway.

Unlike, say, every other team in the league nowadays?

I still think the Bucks are a very good team. The key is limiting the amount of dunks by Giannis. Pretty much impossible to keep him off the offensive boards
all night long and when he does get the rebound...... it is over quickly and emphatically. But if you can keep them in check in transition....it diminishes their strengths. Although freaking Lopez last night going 6-10 from deep. He always kills us.

Well considering he cant score outside of 5 feet thats basically his niche being longer than everyone else.

And thats a bad thing? SHit, the fact that he CAN’T shoot and STILL puts up those numbers makes what he does out there even MORE impressive.

Makes what the refs let him get away with because the league likes his highlights even more impressive.

He is a fantastic basketball player. But he is reffed like a super-star and these usually get some stuff in their favor - he definitely gets away with a bit of traveling and some foul calls - but overall, he is a great player and I am not surprised the league tries to promote him.

Traveling, lowering his shoulder, he started making amazing highlight dunks a couple years ago and all of a sudden you cant guard him any more. Just normal nba star calls. I was shocked they called him for traveling twice last night.

He IS a super-star. What superstar DOESN’T get preferential treatment from refs. Right or wrong, it happens and that shouldn’t surprise anybody. I’ve seen every one of Dame’s plays in his career from more than 10 different angles. Trust me, he’s getting the benefit of the doubt quite a bit out there as well.

@dviss1 What is the current rule for whether or not a player is considered across mid court when bringing the ball up? Is it different in the NBA than in the lower levels? I seem to recall the rule being the ball and each foot counted as 1 of 3 things that if 2 out of the 3 were passed then you were considered across half court.

I ask because there was a play last night where Giannis crossed half court with both feet and stopped but was still dribbling the ball behind him in the back court a couple times. I'm guessing in the NBA it's just the ball but it looked really awkward like it shouldn't be allowed.

You know during CJ’s 19 point third quarter last night, they could have called him for carrying the ball or traveling probably 15 times. It’s how it is. This should shock or surprise nobody.

You seem grumpy today. Still upset about the Lakers' loss to the Raptors?
