This loss has to have taken the Suns heart out. They were looking at a win without 2 of their 4 bigs to bring them to within 1 game from eliminating the Spurs, but instead they have to win 2 in a row. That just sucks for them..</div>I really have to disagree. Yeah, it was tough losing at the end. However, the Suns wouldn't have expected too much from this game at the start. They would have had it in their minds they would probably have to win the last two anyway. What they got though was a tough performance and a VERY close game. They know they can beat San Antonio now and I predict a huge game from Amare on Friday.
^Your making it sound so easy....And to be honest, I really dont think that Phoenix felt they were going to lose going in to last nights game. They were without Amare for all of last year, and they still competed at a very high level. I think that the Spurs will close it out in game 6 like I have predicted all year long.
Phoenix actually hurt their chances for next game as they played their starters heavy minutes. It was a home game as well. Now the suns gotta find a way to win on the road to force a game 7.
Wow, will the suns ever go to the finals if they lose this series? Its wrong that they had to lose but that shows you how good San Antonio is under pressure

The pressure of playing against a team that was missing its most explosive scorer and another of its top 6 players? If anything this game showed that the Suns have San Antonio's number. If Amare was there they would have had no chance.
Why do you say that? Who's to say Amare would of defended Duncan early on like Kurt Thomas did?The Spurs have had the Suns number the past few years and they're honestly better than Phoenix is.
Gameplans and adjustments change when there are certain players around. I think they would have won with Stoudemire but the fact remains the same. the suns are down 3-2 and they need this next game if they want to win.

It's his offense that we missed, especially late in the game when we had to settle for jumpers. It still would have been a close game because the Spurs would've been more ready from the start but I do think the Suns would have won.Ballerman, we won last year with Amare when we had Diaw playing great in the playoffs(BS suspension) and Tim Thomas making big shots. The Suns probably thought they could win because they have that confidence, but this won't be a crushing loss for them. They'll show up tomorrow with great intensity and it won't be easy for either team.Hah, the Spurs do this against a shorthanded team and it shows what a great team they are and why they are the best team in the league, but the Suns do the exact same thing the previous game against a full Spurs team and nothing.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Ah if Amare played they would have won this game.</div>If Amare played, he would have missed about 20 jumpers as usual. Besides, the Suns played great, they had it but the Spurs made a good push at the end. And it will be good to get a break from hearing him bi*ch and complain. Want to know why the Suns wont win the title? Because teams that call their opponents dirty are weak and don't have what it takes to win the title. That right there says that the Spurs have them psyched.
