Re: Now I know Baron Davis' motive for his play. http://www.contracostatimes.com/sports/ci_5908100 He now wants a 6 year contract extension! Go figure. :no1:
Re: Now I know Baron Davis' motive for his play. Wow. I hope if he gets this contract that he wont start to play like sh*t an run the Warriors in the the ground again. Davis has earned a contract like that though. But his age may keep him from getting it. I think Golden State should save that money on getting a true big man to compliment Biendris.
Re: Now I know Baron Davis' motive for his play. I just think it's sickening after Davis blew up, and showed people he was back....and now we come to figure out, he's just out looking for a bigger pay-day...ugh. We all know that when he gets an extension he will put on 20 pounds and miss 30 games a season again.

They got tired of him being out of shape, ballhogging and missing games he could have played in. (Why do you think Baron was hurt in the week leading up to the trade and couldn't play....and suddenly the next day after the trade he was healthy and magicly starting playing?)
Re: Now I know Baron Davis' motive for his play. He was always injured in New Orleans/Charlotte because he was overweight/lazy. Every year the coaches would tell him to come to camp in shape and every year he'd come 15+ pounds overweight. How didn't he like his coaches in New Orleans? He didn't like Paul Silas? Maybe Tim Floyd in his short stint? I've never heard anything about that. Bottom line, in Charlotte, Baron Davis was lazy when it came to conditioning and he hurt his teams because of it. And now he has a great run and now publicly announces that he wants a big payday when he still has two more years on his deal. It's just typical....he's using this situation right now, when the fans love him like never before, his standing in the media is high, with the recent playoff run to make more money for himself. I don't like it.
Re: Now I know Baron Davis' motive for his play. Davis deserves like a three year deal, but that's about it. He got real lazy when the Hornets extended his contract and his performance would always drop as the season progressed. If somehow GS has a setback and someone like Jackson or Harrington goes down, Davis will just give up. That's what happened back when he played with Jamal Mashburn, unless Baron has his entire cast around him and the team is winning he'll be fine. But he won't be happy when the Warriors are 24-27 and are fighting to make the playoffs again. He doesn't know how to be patient.
