Is anyone a Sopranos junkie like me? Maybe we can get some Sopranos discussion going.

Well, I have to say. Everyone hated the ending scene of the Sopranos. But I thought it was brilliant. It just leaves it open to your imagination. Not to mention, they are making a movie. For the people that say Tony dies...I don't buy it. Because I understand the connection to the Godfather, but why would the gun be planted in the bathroom? The guy wasn't padded down like Micheal Corleone was in Godfather. Unless, they were just trying to make a point. Never the less, it could have been better, but I was satisfied.

^From what I gathered from those who disliked the ending(I don't get HBO, so I'm unfortunate to have never caught this show, and no I won't watch the A&E reruns), but they felt it was a cheap copout by David Chase. Instead of delivering on an ending, he went to a black screen because he had no creative ending in mind.

The end was great. If you remember the episode this season where Tony and Bobby are on vacation at the cabin, the schene where Tony and Bobby are walking around the lake. They start talking about killing people and what it would be like to get whacked. Tony says something along of "I bet when it happens, you don't hear or see anything. It just all goes black."In that final scene in the restaurant, I believe Tony gets killed and you are seeing it through his eyes. The final episode also provided closure on alot of different things and alot of hidden messages.- Chris coming back as a cat re-incarnate to pester his old nemesis, Paulie. If you believe that.- Tony finally talks to Junior.- If you remember the scene this season where Tony and Phil Leotardo talk about grand-children, and Tony advises Phil to start focusing on grand-children. After Phil was shot, his last action on the Earth was slowing the rolling vehicle with his head, which presumably prevented a disaster that might of happened with his twin grandchildren in the backseat. And of course, the final scene will be speculated forever which is a brilliant move by David Chase. It will be the next "Who shot J.R.?"

Well, I think the point was that the Sopranos was not just about the Mob. It was about life, family, and good things. Before the closing scene, Tony visits Junior. When Tony tells him that he used to run North Jersey...Junior says "oh that's nice" and that made Tony realize something. That with all this mob stuff and everything, in the end is doesn't matter. You see him leaving almost in tears and then he seems to appreciate his family in the restaurant. Weather he was shot or not...I don't know. I don't want to believe he was though.

I think it was a life goes on ending and the tension in the restaurant, panning to different people in the restaurant giving it a tense atmosphere, was just showing how Tony will live the rest of his life. Never knowing if someone is going to come for him.In the last episode, Tony had tension with Phil and problems with his son.he handled both issues, life goes on, next issue is around the corner but that's all we'll see.I don't put too much into the black at the end.a good bye and for the first time ever no music.

I love this show because it's not about the mafia. It's about the people in the mafia. Thats what sets it apart from other shows. I just finished season 3, buying season 4 on friday.
