- Charlotte- Indiana - Memphis- Seattle- SacramentoI think that's all the teams with coaching vacancy's, I could be wrong though. What possible candidates do you think each team will look for?

The Pacers will get either Jim Boylan, Brian Shaw, or Stan Van Gundy. I'm pretty sure they will not go after Sam Mitchell any more. Mark Jackson said he doesn't want to coach the Pacers. And the current Pacer's assistants are sure as heck not going to get the coaching job.

He's a players coach, and I read somewhere that all of the players love the guy.

One guy that I wouldnt mind getting a head coaching job is Ron Harper. He's an assistant in Detroit and I've always thought that he would and could blossom into a good coach. He's played with and under some great coaches, of course he played for Phil Jackson and along Jordan back in Chicago, but I believe he played under Lenny Wilkens back in the 80's with the Cavs. Maybe with the Jordan connection he gets a chance in Charlotte. :dribble: Highly unlikely though.

I hope the Kings get a coach who knows what he's doing and can control his team. I'm glad Musselman gave K-Mart a chance to produce and all but I can't take another coach coming in and trying to incorporate as system that "MIGHT" work. Personally I wouldn't mind seeing Adelman back. Hell even Larry Brown would do for me, something. Just don't go getting a coach who hasn't been a head coach before in the NBA with the current state of the team.

I think Memphis is going to decide after the lottery. From what ive heard, the two biggest candidate is Iveroni(s?) from Phoenix and Larry Brown.

Coaches in the NBA are always flip-flopping nowadays. I think some of these teams need more of a commitment but some coaches they pick do not belong as coaches so I can see where the league comes from. I may just be a fan but looking on at a lot of trades and let go's and I gotta say a lot of GMs are just stupid in their moves, with the Lakers being a prime example. GMs have really taken the stage over coaches alot nowadays.

I can see Marc Iavarioni (sp?), going to a potentially fast-paced team like Charlotte. They have some good athletes and could run good under a Phoenix style offense.

Houston probably will need a new coach as well. One guy I think could be inline for Charlottes job is Michael Jordan. He's the GM, and I have heard rumors before that he might think about coaching. well heres a great oppertunity for him.

He's the defense and big man guy and likes to be organized. He learned under Pat Riley.

^^ Yeah I agree with ASU his role is really well described in 7 seconds or less. He is kinda the disciplined defensive conscience inside D'antoni that escaped in the form of a very tall assistant coach and he isn't much of a run and gun kinda guy.

Adelman will be back. I could see him in Toronto, after Sam Mitchell gets fired. Mitchell and Carlisle should be back as well.
