When did the Warriors leave the league?

Steph's injured, Durant/Green are at odds--clearly the dynasty is imploding.

Klay to the Lakers is a foregone conclusion.

Even if the Warriors did implode would you put the Lakers as the favorite?

Then get off the blazer bandwagon and follow you're lakers or whatever team you want. No biggie! Lakers haven't been to the playoffs for a couple years.

Blazers can still go 3-3 on this trip and that’d be success. If they go 0-6, then thats when we can start trippin’ over ourselves about how crappy they are, but last night was about getting Lebron past Wilt, that seemed to be the gist of it...

So just like that Dallas is better than Utah?

It is a long season and I fully expect the Blazers to struggle at times. Just like 90% of teams in the league.

    Not really...but Lebron hasn't missed a finals since 2010, so...:dunno:

Even more, 12 consecutive finals have contained either Lebron or the Lakers. Seems like a fait accompli.

    It was ONE GAME.

    upload_2018-11-15_12-35-33.png

It took their best player, having his best game of the year, from both 3-point range and from the line, to beat us on their home court. It represents 1/82 of the season. Flip it around. If our best player has his best game of the year, we beat them.

Look at LeBron's game log for the season:

    upload_2018-11-15_12-38-45.png

Prior to last night, LeBron was shooting .316 from 3-point range and .736 from the FT line. His previous best night from deep was 3-6 and his previous best night from the line was 9-11. The 5-6 and 13-15 he shot last night are not sustainable in either quantity or shooting percentages. He will not average 44 points per game and he will not shoot .833 3FG% for the season. If LeBron has an average (for him) game last night, we beat them. PERIOD.

They were better than us last night. That does not make them better than us over the course of an 82-game season.

Still want to see them over a whole season. They play like they did last night and challenge for the second spot ALL YEAR, I'll change my tune.

Also, ball hitting 3's saved them. It's a game if he's his normal shitty player self.

What's frustrating to me is that the blue print to beat the blazers still holds true:

-Have a Big who can dunk alley hoops and block our guard's attempts at the paint.
-Concentrate defensive attention on Lillard , doesn't matter much if CJ gets his - it wouldn't be enough.
-Blazers play predictable offense at times, i bet Rondo had a say on their pre-game preparations.

We beat Lakers on opening night. Lakers haven’t been to playoffs since CJ was drafted. Why didn’t they sign top free agents then? They couldn’t do better than Luol Deng. Now they are finally mediocre. Meanwhile we are 2nd in the West and only 1 game out of first.
