I don't like standing around in the heat. I don't have the patience for golf. I love mini-golfing because it's quick and fun to do with friends once and a while.

No. I cant do it. Like BCB said, I just cant stand around, wait for people. Not my thing. The summers in Oklahoma are very hot, we have a terrible humidity. 90 feels like 110.Maybe Mini Golf, sometimes
I love it. I have a membership to a local 9 hole course (my high school home course)...I shot a 42...Could have been like a 39 if I f*cking made some putts. I <3 golf. Easily my favorite sport.
Now that I work at a golf course, I've learned so much about golf - it's a really nice sport to play...I gotta get into it soon. (believe it or not - I haven't played a game of golf in my life, yet I still work for a golf course.)
My brother is real into it, so I go every once in a while with him. Its really fun IMO, cause you have to read the field. But its something you have to submerge yourself in if you want to get any good.

I'm not bashing golf haters, it's just you either like it or you don't. I love golf, I was captain of my team in high school and went to the DII state finals in 2005. My handicap is around a 7, to me there is nothing better than playing golf on a nice summer day. I was going to play DIII golf in college but I decided against it, in reality it would have lead me nowhere and taken time away from academics. Still, It's one of the most relaxing sports yet at the same time it can drive you nuts. The thing I love about golf is it's always different. Each course is unique, challenging, and fun in it's own way. Golf is an amazing sport.'<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>But its something you have to submerge yourself in if you want to get any good.</div>You hit it right on the head austingriz. I started playing at the age of 7, I played golf literally everyday in the summers and went to indoor driving ranges in the winter. I still am only a 7-8 handicap, which is good to some extent, a casual golfer would think that is a great handicap. But on a serious, competitive level. That is nothing spectacular.
I cant watch it but I like to play it... I'm not very good.I can drive pretty far but im WICKED inconsistent. I can drive like 250ish and straight about 4 times out of 10, the rest are long and sliced/pulled or just absolutely suck. its pretty fun to play, I'm not huge into it but me and my buddies will go play a few times this summer.

I dont see the point of standing in the heat, hitting a ball, and then looking for it to hit it again. Also it's too damn hot in Florida to be standing around for hours. Hell, in Florida even the winters are hot. Another reason I dont like golf is because I am no good at it.
haha I find it hilarious you guys are complaining about it being too hot to play golf. I love playing golf when it's wicked hot out as do most golfers. It's not a bad workout walking a few miles on a golf course baking in the sun.
My next door neighbour is pretty close to going pro in golf actually.I played it once, it was pretty good, but I hear its like the most addictive sport in the world...sucks ass to watch though
Yeah, I play golf every once in a while. It is pretty fun, I have to admit...Whenever I go, I suck through the first 3-4 holes, but then start to get really good towards the end....I have no idea why, but it's annoying.

If people don't like playing golf when its hot then what must they be like with other sports! Basketball, soccer, tennis etc. They must never play anything outside!I love golf, watching and playing. I'm just not very good at it.
