Re: Worst color commentator's in the NBA? I've lived my whole life in metro-Detroit and I was always spoiled by the local broadcast of George Blaha/Mark Champion and Bill Laimbeer. I moved to NE Penn and started watching Sixers games. The schmucks they have on here (whatever their names are) are like night and day to the great analysts in Detroit.
Re: Worst color commentator's in the NBA? George Blaha is one of the best guys at calling the game. I'm not too fond of Special K Greg Kelser doing the color, however.

Hes been their commentator for almost 10 years now. Maybe that explains why. If you watch Bargnani play regularly, his impact for the Raptors when he comes off the bench is more valuable to the Raps than Brandon Roy is for the Blazers, and yes, I've watched Roy play and I'm not saying that he shouldn't have won because he definitely deserved the award.Anyways, I wouldn't say Chuck Swirsky is a bad commentator but he is weird but funny at times.Onions! Re: Worst color commentator's in the NBA? I think ESPN analyists suck. TNT has great broadcasting teams. Reggie Miller and Steve Kerr do a great job analyzing the games. Also Charles, Kenny "The Jet", and Magic Johnson are fantastic in the pre-game and post-game shows.

He also admitted at the end of the year Roy was pulling away with it.

Barkley is at least clever and witty. The difference between Miller and Barkley is that Miller points out the obvious. He doesn't really even analyze the game. Barkley will actually explain what a team needs to do to succeed strategically and not just "play better defense" or "score more points." One of the other things that is f*cking annoying is that he does know how to pronounce a host of different NBA players' names. I mean seriously, it's his f*cking job to know how to READ about 15-18 different names properly, and he STILL can't do it.
Re: Worst color commentator's in the NBA? I have to say, when the Magic played Golden State I was watching and those guys apparently don't know much outside of Golden State basketball. I watched the make the comment that "Ariza is not to good on the defensive end, primarily out there for his ability to shoot and put the ball in the basket." I haven't liked them much since then, because he's out there for defense and energy. If Ariza scores a bunch one game, it's an added bonus.
Re: Worst color commentator's in the NBA? I hate Walton, Tolbert, Barry and Mike Davis who's the Clippers commentator. He thinks he is a hall of famer who is respected, fact is Davis is nothing but a practice squad wannabe that happened to play a few years for the Clippers because they were terrible.

Hahaha I love Chuck Swirsky, hes an entertaining commentator to listen to and he doesn't really need to break down the game because thats what Leo is there for. However I do understand why some people outside of Toronto would dislike him because he is a homer towards the Raptors, but if your a Toronto fan you love him...he has his own daily blog and probably responds to about 80% of the emails he gets and if your ever at any of the Raptors games and have a chance to talk to Chuck he will glady take the time to speak basketball with you.The only commentators I dont realy like are the Boston ones just because of the comments they made towards Toronto during the pre-season...saying stuff like we dont have a big enough fan base in Toronto to support an NBA franchise and more negatives about our future, I was pretty furious when they made those comments because they made them without any knowledge of our franchise.
