This is crucial. No more screwing around. We need a win here for more reasons than one. I guaransheed a win tonight. Expect a big game from Rasheed, like 25 points and 11 boards.
We NEED to win this game, it's that simple. We did a good job of not letting Chicago get an early lead. On offense, everyone's getting involves, we need to keep that up. Defensively, the Bulls are getting a lot of lay-ups/open jumpers off of penetration and ball movement. We didn't play to well for the last 5 minutes of the quarter, but Rip's buzzer beater was big.
If Detroit losses this game, there is a high probability of a let up loss. They need to close out better defensively and in doing so limit easy shot opportunities.I can't say much more. The Pistons have gotten sloppy while the Bulls have taken advantage. Big time game.
Here we go again. We're playing the exact same way we did in games 4 and 5. No energy our urgency at all. We're allowing the Bulls to penetrate at will, and the only reason we aren't down 20 is because the Bulls have missed a lot of open looks. We can't do anything on offense, everyone's struggling. Sheed is playing terribly, regardless of what the numbers say. PJ f*cking Brown has 20 points, 20 f*cking points. And even after he hits 3 or 4 jumpers, whoever is guarding him always gives him so much room, and so he hits 3 or 4 more. Someone better say something to these guys in the locker room, or this game will end just like game 5 did.
We're off to the ECF once again. Sheed really picked up his play in the second half, and finished with a great game. The run was started with a 12-1 start to start the 3rd quarter, and we never looked back. The Bulls weren't getting into the lane as much, but still managed to get some open looks, but the difference was that they didn't hit them. Tayshaun was huge when we needed him in the fourth. Rip and Chauncey went a combined 19-19 from the free throw line, with most of them coming at the end of the game when we needed it. You could really see the Bulls youth in the 4th quarter. Rushed shots, bad passes, etc. You could also see how much they need a low post presence if they want to go to the next level. In the ECF, the bench has to play like it did in game one if we want to get back to the finals. There wasn't much production at all, with the little of it coming from Hunter and McDyess. Webber also must play well. But for now, I'll be happy on making it to the ECF.
I am so relieved the series didn't go to 7 because anything could happen and now the Pistons get rest for the upcoming conference finals. The bench still hasn't proven they can be consistent, because as soon as Flip sees a lead dissapearing or the Pistons are falling behind the starters are right back in logging 40+ minutes.I like what I am seeing from Maxiell tho, he is bringing energy when the pistons need it. McDyess and Hunter will do their thing but we need better production from Murray and Delfino. This is the time for both of them to step it up big time, if the Pistons want to go baCk to the finals and go for the gold. HoLLa baCk
Ah I was wrong no game 7 they just got to tired. And Hinrich, and Gorden were no on tonight really. DET is still overrated I can say that much.
I am happy that the pistons didnt put themselfs in the position to be ina game 7. They shouldnt have been in a game 5.
They did what they needed to do and that was to close out. it was a good game but the Pistons had control for most of the way like they did vs Orlando. Tayshaun won that Deng-Prince Debate for this series and you really cant disagree.
