Let me take this propitious occasion to remind you that I'm not all White. Say it loud, say it proud - I'M NOT ALL WHITE, I'M NOT ALL WHITE AND I MAKE FOR GREATER DIVERSITY, DAMMIT!
Okay, I have the minor inconvenience of constantly being asked what am I doing in this neighborhood and being stopped by the cops for a burned out taillight, but hey, everyone goes through this. Am I right or am I right?
I would say yes, he should be punished but mainly a slap on the wrist compared to if a white person had hung the sign. If it was a white guy the purpose would have been far more nefarious, an act of intimidation and cruelty to another student. Plus it would have been racist. As the Black guy did it, it is still wrong, it is still something that can add to divisiveness on campus but not a threat towards someones safety. If it were a white dude, I would recommend expulsion. In this case I would recommend suspension for a few days.
umm, it seems an attention whore, stirring the pot is guilty of trouble making, regardless of race. I see you have a more active imagination as to intuiting the intent where it come to white guys, vs a black. But I suspect that is just virtue signalling.
Ha! No sir! This logic fails the logic test. Shit smells like shit, even when you try to cover for it.
Sounds like righty virtue signaling @Further I suppose it could be. It is hard to signal any other way.
So I posted an actual response to the OP and instead of debating it, you pull this virtue signaling BS. It's a crap tactic to distract. Im done. I will no longer respond to you. You have nothing to add to any conversation so I will no longer indulge you.
Not seeing how the perpetrator's race is any factor. It's clear he/she is mentally ill, and should be expelled to protect the students and the education they are being greatly overcharged for.
This maybe the actual affront that is going on here. While people pay through the nose, whether it's parent, students themselves, or society through private grants or government, the path is obscured for the many by catering to the few. This sort of obfuscation of the task at hand, does not belong in the system nor should the system be weighted by history.
I never knew you did. I thought you a man. An occasional virtual signalling one to be sure, but a man.
I lean towards agreeing with you but I think it is somewhat hypocritical. Should race be the sole factor in the punishment or the intent? Or both?
I dunno if I'd even punish him. I'm not offended by what he did unless he was trying to make things worse betweem people. If he was trying to point out how stupid racism is them I agree with what he did. Even if against the rules...I for one think having permits to protest stuff is completely ridiculous.
Well, I could look at it this way; If dviss were to post, a n* lives here! I could agree with him! If BMan5k were to post, a n* lives here! I could agree with him. Really don't need to see either or know more. The intent is not positive. The distraction is the same.
