<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (PrimeTime @ May 20 2007, 08:05 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>That was a bad trade but Phoenix didnt feel like paying Joe Johnson 14 mil, then they would of had to cut one of their big 3 this season so it was more of a calculated move then bad trade.</div>That was from Boston to Phoenix, not Phoenix to Atlanta.
I don't know what you guys are talking about - it's easily Tractor "drug money launderer" Traylor for Dirk "MVP" Nowitzki.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (PrimeTime @ May 20 2007, 11:17 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>You cant say who got the better end of the deal yet, I'd say by the end of next season you can start to see, but until 3-4 years after the trade who knows? For all we know AI will lose most of his speed and only be half the player he is now after next season and the Sixers will get a franchise star in a draft steal. You dont know so you really cant say anything about that trade as of now.</div>No Allen Iverson has the heart to be 100% when he's 40 and running like he's 18. He's easily a top 3 player in the league and will continue to be through the next 10 years IMO. Don't doubt him omfg AI hater. You're such a homer. Denver is a top 2 team IMO. I mean the immense talent on that team. AI and Melo holy sh*t!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Serge @ May 19 2007, 02:47 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>That, and AI trade people who think it was even fair for the Sixers are nuts. I know they would not have gotten fair value, but more value if he was not benched.AWFUL</div>Yeah....The team got better once they traded AI, they were given a chance to rebuild, and they got rid of a big contract...definitely seems really lopsided to me Especially when AI demanded a trade in the first place...
Elton Brand for Tyson Chandler and Brian Skinner was pretty bad, but not as bad as the ones mentioned above.Dale Davis for Jermaine O'Neal deserves a mention too.
<span style="font-family:Arial">Most of the recent ones have been mentioned, I'll go for all-time.Boston traded the 1st and 13th draft picks of the 1980 NBA draft to the Golden State Warriors for Robert Parish and the 3rd pick. They used the 3rd pick to select Kevin McHale. Parish, McHale, and Bird formed the best frontcourt in league history. Talk about a bargain...Wilt Chamberlain became a steal TWICE, first he went to the Sixers for Connie Dierking and Paul Neumann. Then he went to the Lakers for Archie Clark and Darrall Imhoff. There were some other players involved but the names are slipping my mind.Sonics trade: Scottie Pippen to the Chicago Bulls for Olden Polynice.Celtics trade: Chauncey Billups to the Toronto Raptors for Kenny Anderson.Bucks trade: Kareem Abdul Jabbar and William Wesley to the Lakers for Brian Winters, Elmore Smith, and Junior Bridgeman</span>
hell to the yeah...AAAHHH I HATE THINKING ABOUT THAT!!!!!!!! Memphis couldve paired up Melo and Gasol!!!#$%$#@$!~!#@!#!~
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (austingriz @ May 20 2007, 11:12 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I wouldnt call Billups a steal, atleast for Boston. He wasnt a "star" untill he got to Detroit.</div><span style="font-family:Arial">They used the #3 overall pick to draft him, yet never gave him the chance to prove himself. Billups never had the shot in Boston, who knows how he would have turned out.</span>
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (playaofthegame @ May 19 2007, 09:48 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>That trade wasn't one sided at all, the Sixers finished the season strong, found a top 10-15 PG in Andre Miller, found their franchise player in Andre Iguodala and have three first round picks in this deep draft. How is that one sided? It's easily Tractor Traylor for Dirk Nowitzki.</div>You trade a hall of famer who has not lost a step, only for a solid PG in Miller who is also the same age as Iverson not like he is young maybe 1 year younger. Joe Smith means nothing he was a contract filler. And the 2 firsts are late firsts. The other first we had anyway we got 2 firsts that are late. The Sixers were on a high just like the Warriors when they beat Dallas in the playoffs. They had something to proov in winning still when AI was gone cause no one thought they would. This high is over, and will see next year what will happen. They already had the future in Iggy.

Damn I swear we have alot of stupid basketball fans. that post makes pff look like a hofer. When AI slows down, which he will soon(since he's already a 10 year vet, and since he came in the league he has always relied on his speed) He will fall off his game drastically. Who knows when it will happen but it will happen, and it will be way before he even turns 40.

You need to bring up Grant Hill to Orlando for Ben Wallace and Chucky Atkins. Whoever brought up Antawn Jamison for Harris, Stackhouse, and Laettener needs to read the topic again. It's not one-sided at all. Both teams benefitted.
