    Celtics retired numbers from 15-25:

    15 - Tommy Heinsohn
    16 - Tom Sanders
    17 - John Havlicek
    18 - Dave Cowens
    19 - Don Nelson
    21 - Bill Sharman
    22 - Ed Macauley
    23 - Frank Ramsey
    24 - Sam Jones
    25 - K.C. Jones

What number is missing? #20, the number of Mr. Oden. It's destiny!

Durr, that's exactly what I said... (although if we do end up with Durant, I'll still obviously be the happiest guy on the planet).

I would like to see Greg in the West, but we if he goes to Boston I'll be rooting him on. I honestly think Greg Oden needed one more year in collage. Unless somehow they[Whatever team drafts him] teach Greg some offensive skill, he isn't gonna do much. His defense, however is gonna be awesome. He and Al sound scary. And PP? Can I jump on the bandwagon now? [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Are you kidding me? First of all, he's 19, he has all the time in the world to improve. But also, his post game honestly isn't that bad. Ohio State was stupid with their gameplan and never went to him as much as they should have, he is very capable of scoring in the post. I have no worries whatsoever about Greg Oden's offensive production in the NBA.

Come on, CB32. He was in collage and he has one stinking offensive move and its a back down move that any power forward with any defense can stop. I watched him enough to know that he needs help with it, not that he wont get it or anything but I'm just saying he needs help with it.

He also has a nice jump hook, can finish well with both hands, and he gets great position. Also note that he played half the season with his strong hand taped up and not fully mobile. He needs to improve, but you made it sound like he was a horrible post player by saying "Unless a team can some how work with him, he's not going to do much." That's why my basically said "give me a break." Greg Oden will be a fine post player.

I didn't mean it by that, I wanted the guy to stay one more year so he can learn more and become a better offensive player. I think he needs to work a little on it, he just doesn't have a great offensive game and IMo thats what stopping him from becoming one of the greats.

Two words: Bill Russell. He didn't have much of an offensive game and he's arguably the best center of all-time with 11 rings. I'm not saying Oden will be Bill Russell, but I'm just stating that you don't have to be a Tim Duncan-like offensive wizard to be a great. But regardless of that fact, Oden is 19 years old and even as of right now would certainly be alright offensively. He'll be fine. The only thing that will stop Oden from becoming a big time player is if he doesn't work hard, which also is basically irrelevant considering he is a very hard working kid with a great head on his shoulders.

They have very similar physical attributes. Oden's size, strength, and agility are what make him special. Shaq still doesn't have many moves to this day and it hasn't hurt him much at all.

Shaq is also literally 80 lbs. bigger than Oden and more physically dominant. Shaq has always had a nice baby hook and he has always been much quicker on the block than he may look ("The Black Tornado" was a devastating move).

And his outstanding defensive anticipation skills that you rarely EVER see in a kid his age.

Shaq was about Oden's size as a rookie. He wasn't always as huge as he is now. His hook and spin are two moves. I honestly can't think of any other ones.

From watching him beat the crap outve memphis, he has some good, but basic, moves. Nobody expects him to average 20ppg as a rookie, more like 10-12ppg...but in season who or two he will be a 20ppg scorer. He'll most likely go to Memphis or Boston...both have really good back-to-the-basket players who can help him out.Yeah Shaq was literaly built just like highschool Dwight Howard..really broad shoulders, but wasnt that big. Hes gotten ALOT bigger.

It's funny though, a lot of really good post players in the NBA who played college ball, always seem to be able to do more in the NBA than college because of having better outside shooters and less collapsing zone defenses.Ewing and Zo come to mind.their pro game showed much more offensive capabilities right away.

Exactly. Most college players don't get to show their real capabilities because in college, everyone has a very structured offense where the ball is moving at all times. College teams rarely every go to their stars as much as they should. Ohio State didn't go to Oden in the post nearly as much as they should have. Oden will be a good post player, no worries over here.
