Ahh yes and here it is. Still up. Still no comment in the thread that this is a bannable offence from that thread.

Cup was banned from a thread for saying the same thing to someone else.
This is the bias i reference with this individual.

Mods will deny it. Why? Because thier bias has created blindness or something. I dont know honestly. But im not the only one who believes this to be true. Im not the only one to have limited myself from this forum because of this obvious and blatant favoritism for this individual...based on a long history of friendship?

But watch now as i will be degraded and treated as a whiner and this quoted post will now be dealt with, all the while making it sound like im the one with the issue.

I understand the frustration level and can see where it can be perceived as favoritism. I have learned a long time ago from my involvement in various forums to not try and take things personally and i try and bow out if I find myself leaning that way. The mods do miss some but for the most part I think overall they do a good job but the rules are often written so loosely and often times it has to be handled on a case by case basis and consider the the direction the discussion is going. I will agree that HCP's clueless statement was far worse than how I used it and yet his stood and mine was deleted and I was banned. Maybe the rules need to be re-evaluated so that more consistency can be accomplished and I would suggest a PM to sly and offer up some ideas that maybe they can discuss and possibly implement.

    Insult has been deleted.

    That is not acceptable.

I do not read all the posts, no mod does.

I have not read all of posts made since I went to bed last night and since I got up this morning.

I'm leaving the house in 30 mins and won't be back until later this afternoon.

So there will be 100s of posts that I will have not read.

When I get home later today I will do what I always do:

    1. Read the reported post section and deal with those posts.

    2. Read and answer the Private Messages that I have received.

Did you report that post? No.

Did you send me a PM about that post? No.

Do I see insults by you, Cup, and bodyman in that thread that also went unedited? Yes.

Did mods edit posts in that thread? Yes.

Did they see all of them? Apparently not.

Did they not take action because they don't like you or like HCP better? No.

Have I or any mod ever called you a whiner or a jackass like you've made the accusation of the last two days? No.

Have I doubled the size of the staff here in the last 6 months to try and deal with this? Yes.

Is one of these people a very close friend of yours? Yes.

    ...

Now I just took the time go back and see what I was doing the week of October 18th that caused me to be a giant fucking cunt loser and miss that insult.

If you would like I can go and give a detailed report of the hours of work I put in for this community that has absolutely nothing to do insults and arguments. Hours of work. Meetings, emails, swag, tickets, suite games, interviews, visiting Brian Wheeler in the hospital, all 100s things that I do in the background to try to make this place better and fun.

But yes, let's go with I'm biased, or I play favorites, or I don't like you.

I tried to point out that i believe the job of modding is virtually impossible but that is based on the losseness they themselves allow with regards to interpretation, in the rules thread. They will never be able to please everyone as long as there is vagueness in the rules and in instilling the rules.

I 100% agree that they do a great job under the circumstances. I have a ton of respect for them be ause it is not easy and not just snyone can do it.
I also believe the mods are in a constant mode of frustration that was founded on their allowing a loose interpretation of the rules to exist, based on thier perception of the situation formed from thier relationships with those members involved.
I seen it. “So and so is the nicest guy in person...”
But how does that matter when i have never met said person and said person has only shown me complete disrespect aNd assholish behavior even in the face of an apology and an olive branch?

They let thier relationship with some here dictate the level of tolerance allowed for thier behavior.

They are victim to thier own position is all.

Why are you making this out to be about you when i have never referenced any specific mod?

That thread created a second thread because of heat and i have to believe several mods read through it.

This is simply one of many examples of this individual.
But i do like how you are kinda proving my point.

Look man, ive always said you do a great job here so i dont know why it seems you are taking this personal.
This isnt about you. Its about modding in general aNd how difficult it is when mods have relationships with members.

I might be making myself more difficult to understand and i apologize. I do have a bad habit of saying i or you, when i am referencing peole in general. Its a terrible habit i try to watch for. Not sure if i did that in my last few posts or not.
I know it makes it hard to know if i am speaking to an individual or about people in general.

However, do i think at times your relationship with him can influence your perception of certain situations? Yes. I do.
Do i think this of some other mods and forum members as well? Yes. I do.

    Are you serious with this????

First i never accused you of calling me a jackass.

I was the donkey moniker. A jackass. The intent was to be a jackass. I called myself that!

Secondly, i never accused a mod of calling me a whiner either i was referencing other members.

Not sure why you are getting so defensive when ive made a point to say mods or anyone else most everytime????
I know you are running the show and your dedication to this place is impeccable, but this really isnt about you. Its about this place in general.

Every day. All day. We hear complaints. It gets frustrating. Posters couldn't even a day off of complaining for the holiday. On top of all of that, Sly does a lot of other things to make this place go. Its stressfull as shit. I can't imagine with all the added stuff Sly has how exhausted he must be on it.

The mods are going to have a conversation about the rules issues. We don't need people to explain over and over how there are grey areas and loopholes. We got it. We are figuring out what to do about it. We are trying to be here to make this a functional forum for everyone.

I understand you are trying to continue to make a point about how the rules aren't great when they are so vague. When people can circumnavigate them. The case has been made. Thank you.

There will be a mod discussion. Until then if you guys want us to delete or edit every post that can be remotely concieved as an insult, baiting, etc we will.

    P.s.

I appreciated your point about conversation vs arguing. I argue a lot. I am going to work on having more conversation.

The job is soo very difficult.
That is unfortunate that on a day of thanks, people felt the need to complain to the mods about something here.

I do not envy mods at all. Very much like being a police officer in todays world. Its a virtual lose lose situation.
I have voiced my appreciation many times and have reached out to help with certain things myself. Gatherings etc.
soo much respect for Sly snd all the mods really for all they do.

Its just unfortunate that there are some that will purposefully and/or intentionally take advantage of the looseness of the insult rule to navigate/skirt around them with negative intent, perhaps evenctaking advantage of thier relatjin ship with mids and other members.

If everyone would check themselves a bit more, myself included, the mod job would probably be tremendously easier.
The problem is some people get joy out of others frustrations. I have no clue on how to fix that.

For the record im not one to report behaviors. I beleive that everyone has their moments. No reporting needed. Just deal with it aNd move on. I beleive...i hope, that most people have enough self awareness to be able to reflect upon thier own behavior with impartial judgment and see, when rational, what is and isnt crossing the behavioral line of respect we should have for one another.

I only brought back up the clueless post as a point of reference for the conversation at hand. Not to continue any drama within that thread.

I went back and edited that whole thread.

Mods try to read as much as they can. Things get missed. We rely on posters to report posts with insults, baiting etc. You were complaining about those posts still being up. If they had been reported they would have already been edited. I edited some of your posts too in that thread. Yes, accountability is important. It is something we are going to start holding everyone too. There are no special favors. We have recieved a lot of points of emphasis. We will discuss it.

True, and I have certainly been guilty of it at times. It’s also much harder to talk about serious issues when you can’t hear tone and just see words because then you can just make up whatever tone you want the person to have and interpret it how you want especially if you have never met the person or know much about them.

I, for one, am very thankful for the mods! Sly, Chris Craig, and others are putting in more time and effort than they probably should tbh. I appreciate all the work done by all the staff and they are trying their hardest to make this the best place for everybody
