No offense but the chances of the Cavs beating the Pistons and then the Spurs, both in a 7 game series :no1:
The calls in this series were horrible but thats how it goes sometimes. I don't agree that the Suns won't be a contender next year though, they still have 2/3 draft picks and a pretty talented team even if they lose Marion.
Boycott! Game 5 was more painful than this, I'm good. Showed a lotta heart tonight. Oh well. It should be an interesting offseason and I'm hoping one in which we have the #4 pick.
Congrats to the Spurs. They are definitely the better team when these 2 play. The suns just have no answer for their big 3. The suns need a defensive point guard like Harris to bother Parker.
Oh and this was the Spurs' biggest challenge. This was the Finals. Jazz lose in 5, Pistons take it to 6 because of 3 straight home games.
Duncan has blocked the sun, and now its a cloudy day in phoenix(.) and it will be for the whole summer(.)I love Defense(!)hey im Reppinthe D halol nah but it shoulda been game 7 but the spurs still woulda won(.)
The rest of the playoffs are going to be incredibly boring. I really do wonder what it's ratings are going to be compared to the Stanley Cup.
I'm very happy to see San Antonio head to the Conference Finals. They are going to win the championship, IMO. I think San Antonio/Utah is going to be a great series though, no doubt about it. Duncan was outstanding tonight, Parker was outstanding tonight, Ginobili was outstanding tonight, Bowen was outstanding tonight, San Antonio's defensive pressure was outstanding tonight, and the energy level in that arena was outstanding tonight.
I felt worse when the Suns just lost then when my Nets did. I don't know why, maybe because I knew the Nets had no shot at winning a title and the Suns did. I feel for Nash and Kidd, and I'm starting to worry neither will win a championship

Most neutrals would say the Suns played the better ball this series and if it wasn't for some pretty bad calls they would have easily won.Games 1 & 3 were taken away from Phoenix through bad calls in the second half and don't get me started on game 5.
I really don't have any interest in the NBA playoffs anymore. Its going to be so boring. I rather watch the NHL so I could see some crazy hits and shots from people I don't even know then the NBA playoffs which I know every teams lineup.
Yall gotta let this ref sh*t go(.) Them games are done, just leave it(.) Very good teams lose, sh*t happens even if the team has the best record and were on fire(.) These are the playoffs(.)The spurs also played without a vital big man (robert horry)(.) Their players know how to step up.. and as you can see the results this game 6(.)If you love the game of basketball then you will at least take a look at the 2nd half of the games(.) The better team wins(.) it aint gonna change(.) basketball is not boring

However, when somebody claims that th Spurs played better then I will point out they are wrong.and what the F*ck does all this (.) mean?
Amare was great, but he still hasn't been able to get up and dunk on people like he used to....if he still can't improve that during the break I'd like to see him add on a little more muscle to be able to actually play the center position the best he can.Nash...he led a nice comebacks, I love the guy, but they really need to find him a back-up, one similar to Banks except with the ability to shoot and pass.Bell, made his 3's and played very good D. He can be great for us for years.Kurt Thomas gave a good effort, but he's just too old. They need to find another big man to replace him.Barbs, has turned into a really good player but still needs to improve decision-making.Diaw...Crap.Marion, it's been 8 great years...goodbye.James Jones, makes his shots 1 out of every 10 or so games. I hope they find a replacement. D'Antoni has done a good job but needs to learn to use his bench like Avery and Popovich do.The Suns played very well, all I'm pissed about is the many fans I'll have to argue with on their thoughts on the Suns until this time next year.

Even in the middle of the season, I said that I feared Utah more than the Suns...Nobody on that team can stop Duncan or even slow him down very much at all, Parker did whatever he wanted for most of the series, and Ginobili really picked up his game in the last few games of this series also.Utah will take this series to 6 IMO, and once the Spurs get past them, the Detroit series will be VERY tough. I would also pick the Spurs in 6 over Detroit as well, maybe 7...

There were plenty of bad calls as reported at the time by commentators and afterwards by the media.
