Bowen and Duncan didnt leave the bench and go on to the floor during an altercation, and Boris Diaw and Amare Stoudemire did. I dont have to be able to read minds....im just not blind. They went on the floor to get involved in the scuffle and no matter what their intent was, it is prohibited by the league. Horry was the one that instigated the whole thing, and he served his penalty for it....Amare and Boris broke the rules, so they have to serve the time as well. I personally dont agree with the rule, but it is a rule and they didnt follow the rule while the Spurs players did follow it. So, dont blame anything on David Stern, because he wasnt the one who broke the rules...
He decided the series is what he did. The Spurs were awarded for Horry throwing and elbow to make it an "altercation" and that's not right. Worst commish in sports now. I can't wait till he's gone. He's done some good things, but so have the past commish's. I'd like to see Stern leave.
God you are so stubborn and retarted....Im not going to argue with somebody that blind. If anybody on the Spurs bench was to step even one foot on the court during the incident, they wouldnt have been playing in game 5 either. They just arent as dumb as Phoenix is I guess...O well, better luck next year!

He may have screwed the Suns a bit, and made some bad decisions, but what he has done in evolving this game is nothing short of amazing.ballerman- If Duncan was knocked 5ft into a hard barricade, I bet there would be a pretty big uproar from their players as well.

They did the same thing Duncan did only James Jones had the class not to start throwing forearms like Horry did. Neither of them got anywhere near Horry or the altercation and were suspended on a 2nd rate decision by David Stern & Stu Jackson who flat out lied in their defense of the response of saying it was a clear cut rule as proven when nobody was suspended for leaving the bench during the Lakers-Kings tunnel brawl a few years back.
Your right....Horry had no right to throw a forearm. And answer this question for me. Did he get penalized for that...?They were on the floor during the altercation. Go read the rule books...

Why would the Spurs step on the floor when the other team's best player was down and a guy half of Robert Horry's size was going after him? Duncan was pretty quick to get far on the court when James Jones just went under him by mistake so imagine what the reaction would've been had it been an important Spurs player and an intentional undercut.I'd take Goodell and Selig over Stern personally. I don't care if Stern is making the sport popular overseas.
Ouch....insulting my spelling. It truly hurts. Why would the Suns players step on the floor anyways? They know the rules dont they? Were they not well aware of this rule before this game happenned? Have players not been suspended for doing the same exact thing? Its not a good rule, and I wish it wasnt there, but the fact of the matter is that it is a rule and players have to abide by it. Yeah, and what was Duncan doing on the floor that could have caused harm at all? What was he trying to get involved in? Thats right! There was nothing for him to get involved in at all...He was just going to check if his player was ok. And as much as you want to believe that is what Amare and Boris were doing, you know why they went on the floor. And even if they were going on the floor just to check if Nash was ok, they still went on to the floor during an altercation which is clearly against the rules.
Amare and Boris both headed back when it started. If Duncan was thrown to the floor and stayed there for over 5 seconds grimacing you bet the players woulda done the same. And yes there was no altercation because the Suns are too classy to try to injure the other teams players. Another * next to a Spurs championship. Enjoy it, you guys wouldn't have won it if Stern just let the team's play.Oh and I bet it hurt....you're graduating and still don't know how to spell. :no1:
Wow, my two least favorite teams in the WCF, both cheap teams. I doubt Stern is happy either, he would have much rather had an explosive WCF with the Suns and Warriors that would be really entertaining. Lets go Pistons! Ha.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Milgod @ May 19 2007, 04:36 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Rubbish, you can't say that anymore. Most neutrals would say the Suns played the better ball this series and if it wasn't for some pretty bad calls they would have easily won.Games 1 & 3 were taken away from Phoenix through bad calls in the second half and don't get me started on game 5.</div> :cry2:
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (mavsfan1000 @ May 18 2007, 10:39 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>:cry2:</div>We're joining you Mavs fans on the "The NBA is Rigged" club. The Spurs deserved this as much as the Heat did. Yes they both won, congrats to them.I wonder if the NBA will set a record low for ratings in the last 2 rounds.
Well I'm not going to watch anymore. That game was a piece of crap. Mavs fans...I'm on your side too. The NBA is rigged.
Really, Mark Cuban and Colangelo can start a new league together. It'll be better. Just start out with 8 teams and move on.
I'll be rooting for the Pistons but I have no problem with the spurs team. I do have a problem with Stern though.
Stop crying Suns fans. You guys had a fresh Amare and a fresh Boris back for game 6 and couldn't handle it. I do feel bad for the Suns players but some of you fans are ridiculous. The NBA finals ratings are gonna be just fine with Detroit/San Antonio because real basketball fans will continue to watch. Sorry the Suns system failed once again. I do have to say though the suspensions WERE bullsh** but there are rules..not saying the rules make sense but the NBA did suspend the players who "broke" the rule. God, I can't stand it though when Suns fans think everytime they don't win it's somehow not their fault.Duncan is such a god though. 9 blocks. You kiddin me?
Even though the Suns got Amare and Diaw back for game 6, it was already ruined. It was on the road, which they already won. The chances of them winning there again were not that great to start with. Then because of the suspensions in game 5, Nash, Marion, Bell had to play huge minutes and started to get tired in the 4th quarter of game 5. So the suspensions did play a big role in game 5, and game 6 also.
No they didn't. The Suns not being as good as the Spurs played a big role in it. Game 6 had nothing to do with the suspensions. The Suns would of had to play there in the next game no matter what so it's completely irrelevent to the suspensions. The point is the Suns could have beaten San Antonio AT San Antonio as they did before but they didn't play their A-game last night and unfortunately it was an elimination game.Suns fans needa stop making excuses.

Spurs play play hard basketball and sometimes even a tad bit dirty, but they are the classiest team in the NBA...no doubt about it. If you believe everything that comes out of Phoenix' players mouth, then I guess I will start believing everything Robert Horry said....He was going to try and take a charge but he got there too late....He had no intention of hurting Steve Nash. And if I remember correctly, Raja Bell came at Robert Horry first....And what makes you think the Spurs wouldnt have won game 5 even if they did have Amare and Boris? The game was totally different....The Spurs could have won just as easily...The Suns were at full strength last night and the Spurs won somewhat convincigly. And yeah, im not too worried about my intelligence considering my GPA is almost a 4.0 in one of the top rated public schools in America, and I will be attending a great college...
Another thing...there's too many "Ifs" for the Suns..the Spurs won the Suns lost..enough of this crap guys.
