Browsing Twitter and a common theme amongst Philly beat writers is that Fultz needs two things: *A team that can develop him slowly -- ie don't expect immediate results *A "sensitive city" to their players Portland was specifically mentioned as an ideal situation. Ladies, yay or nay?
They're going to want far too much for him. But I totally expect Philly writers to say that they're positive that Portland would trade Lillard for him.
It's still 3 weeks until Sauce is available to be traded, but why would the 76ers want him back? I was thinking about some sort of deal around Aminu for Fultz mainly because Philly will probably want an expiring vet. I was also trying to think of other teams that would be interested in a 3 way deal where they would get Fultz and we'd get something else. I wonder if any teams would give up any value for him?
No thanks. Not a fan and don't think he will be productive in this league. I mean best case scenario, he gets his shot back and becomes a poor man's Devin Booker. We kind of already have enough tweener guards as it is.
In his last pod, Wojnarowski said that Philly will have a hard time getting a 1st round pick for him. So yeah, I'd buy that low for a former player of the Huskies who already has a connection in NW.
Hard pass from me. At this point, I would rather take a chance on Simons. Fultz is like D'Angelo Russell with a broken jumpshot.
Fultz is nothing like Russell. Why not take a chance on both? Fultz has a much better chance at panning out.
Some writer I read somewhere suggested Rozier for Fultz. I'd say that was perfect. Rozier's pissed that his minutes have been slashed and Kyrie's already said he's re-signing.
Sixers want shooting above all. That should be borne in mind. I suggested Evan Fournier a while back and was laughed at. WHO'S LAUGHING NOW (that Orlando is doing well and Fournier is a big part of it)? Of course, Philly no longer has our old pal Bayless to make salaries closer.
Talking of whom: I think Fultz for Russell might make a lot of sense. Nets are better with Spencer Dinwiddie right now, but Russell is certainly a scorer. Philly might prefer someone who plays a lick of defense, but beggars can't be choosers.
No. I don't know if Fultz is physically broken or psychologically broken - but either way it makes no sense to give up anything of value for him.
I definitely wouldn't give up 1st for him. Right night the kid is physically and mentally broken. But it would olshey type of deal.
