Well its been a good season. I still stick to my pick, don't blow this team up. Do not trade Jason Kidd. We played all year without our only good post guy. Jason Collins was a starter. That needs to change. Rod Thorn what ever you do, just don't trade Jason Kidd. If you do that, just blow up the team. This team still has a good 3-4 years left in them with this core. Marcus Williams is only going to get better. Same with Boone. I expect Nened to be a all star next year or close to it. We need to resign Moore, he had a hell of a year. Nachbar too. I don't agree with these people saying we are a disappointing team. Most of this year we had just had Kidd and Carter. Jefferson was hurt all year. Nened got hurt in December and we lost him for the whole year. We never really player a long period of time when he had a full team. I know what people will say, we had a full team in the beginning of the year and we didn't do good. Well that always happens, I don't know why lol. We need to get a post player. Nened is good, but he is more of a shooting big man. We could turn the team into a fast break team again also. We could get a very athletic big man, like a Kenyon Martin (hell, maybe even k-mart) and be a running team. We would be so much better then our great teams back when we made the finals. Not only would we be better running, we would be better in the half court also. Back when we made the finals, we had nobody to attack in the half court. Now Jefferson is much better, we have Carter (hopefully). Nened is much better then Todd Mc what ever. We have to make use of Kidd's final good years. I don't want Kidd to be wasted, he is too good. Either get some players in here so we could be a championship team, or blow it up. You know what I would do, but I am not Rod Thorn. I don't see why one of the best GM's can't get a decent PF in here. If I was the GM, I would get K-Mart back. Just imagine that team. PG:KiddSG:CarterSF:JeffersonPF:MartinC:NenedI would go into detail about the bench, but I don't know the salaries that we would have to give up for Martin. I would be guessing Collins,Wright, maybe Boone and a 2nd round pick?? Denver wants to get rid of him, I don't see a reason why they would want him. They have Camby, Nene, Evens,Melo,Najera all on their front line. Anyway, back to the Nets. Their defense would greatly improve. Kidd would be pumped since one of his best friends is back. We have so much more offensive weapons then the last time K-Mart was here. Even though we would have to pay K-Mart a lot of money, its worth it. It would make us a title contender once again. Thorn, make it happen.

If Kristic didn't have that injury the nets would've been a higher seed and probably still in the playoffs. They played well Late in the season and in the playoffs but early in mid season they were horrible. I wont be surprised if in the next 2 years RJ Kidd or VC leaves.

But then again, that could be said for a lot of teams in the NBA. But not when 2 of your better players are hurt or get hurt for most of the season. Jefferson was hurt all year, I am not even sure he was a 100 percent in the playoffs yet. Nened played 2 and a half months before getting hurt. I think the core of Kidd,Carter and Jefferson will stay together. If we do what I said up there, the core will be together until Jason Kidd retires. If we don't, I do expect one of them to leave after next season.

Well, if the reports are true, Marion will be open for a trade for Jefferson and something else if Nets want to go after him. Instant defense, rebounding, and he would be a huge step to making this a run and gun team again. Nets need that big man like you said. Also, Lawrence Frank is the worst 4th quarter coach in NBA and must be fired.

Rick Carlisle anyone? And by the way, did you hear Jefferson for Marion? Or is that you just throwing that out there?

Just throwing it out there as I got the idea from reading the Suns-Spurs topic. Marion would be an awesome fit.

NJ could possibly get Lamar Odom if the Lakers want to trade for Kidd. Look at the lineup then...PG WilliamsSG CarterSF JeffersonPF OdomC KristicThe Nets could get Odom as well as Bynum for Kidd and maybe a draft pick. Then, the Nets could afford to let VC go if he worst comes to worst. Then the lineup would look like this...PG WilliamsSG JeffersonSF OdomPF KristicC BynumYou never know what could happen. New Jersey must draft a swingman in the first round and sign or trade for a big man because that's where they were most vulnerable. I say NJ could have went 50-32 at best if Nenad didn't go down. :dribble:

Kidd for lamar, bynum, and a pick? Come on man. Same with the Marion Trade. I would love to see it happen but the problem is Jefferson isnt at the same level as Marion, especially since he is one of the most underrated players in the league who can do EVERYTHING.

The Nets need to get rid of Vince Carter...This guy is a headcase, who never puts in full effort. He is so inconsistent, and often just settles for shots. Also, it is evident that he is declining. I'm sure you guys could get some immediate big man help, and maybe some good young players...I really think you should deal him though..

I still love the guy, though. He is so weird and streaky its amazing. One night he is incredible and kills the opponent, then the next he jacks up these wild shots and just disappears. We need to package him for a good, good big man. Either him or Jefferson, I think, will go. I don't want either to leave, but I think its going to happen.Edit: By the way, you could change your sig now [IMG]

I tell you, he plays when he feels like it, it gets annoying after a while.

I'd still take him over players like Marion, Artest, etc... He is too good of a scorer and playmaker to deal him.

Most dissipointing yet exciting yet. We finish with our worst Kidd era record yet we upset the Raptors in the first round. Injuries and chemistry issues killed us.Positives were that we developed a bench and fillers.Negitives were all the trade rumours. My dream like all of yours would be to get Kenyon but it's definately not worth Vince. I could see if he got bought out and we sign him for the MLE but Carter has way more talent.
