Jerry Sloan. Every year, with limited talent (excluding this year), he has always put an above average team on the floor. After losing Stockton and Malone, I expected him to leave Utah but he decided to stay because he saw potential in the team and was gonna build around Kirilenko. And now that he has very good young players around him such as Boozer, Okur and Deron Williams, Jerry Sloan has done a great job with this young Utah team. If Sam Mitchell didn't win Coach Of The Year, he would have been my pick for sure.
My favorite Coach is Brian Hill. He is one of the best Coach's in the league at developing young talent, and giving young talent time to get better. Young players always make serious improvements when playing underneath Coach Hill. He makes good in game substitutions, and everyone on the team knows their role pretty well. Me being a young guy, that would be the coach I would like to play for.
Gregg Popovich....He's no nonsense, he may be the smartest coach in the league, fundamentally, probably the best coach in the league....he knows X's and O's as good as anyone...He can change his teams style to match any team in the league....He is lights out in the playoffs...I also think Jerry Sloan is a great coach...Avery Johnson too.
My favorie coach is Phil Jackson, any coach that wins the Bulls 6 titles in under 10 years wins my vote for favorite coach(although MJ and Pip had a good impact also in that happening)

I like Pat Riley. I think he's a hard nosed coach with a passion and understanding for the game. I would say Nellie, but his final year with the Mavs left a sour taste in my mouth. He is a brilliant coach and knows how to bring the best out of his players. I mean look at Marquis Daniels and Matt Barnes. Avery Johnson won't get much of a nod from me because he still has not handled himself well when put up against a good coach. He can be stubborn with his motives and sometimes tries to put things that don't fit. I do like his attitude towards defense and preaching. But he's not there yet in terms of x's and o's. His record to me is more on the team he was handed than him coaching this team to victory. And yes I said it.
PHIL JACKSON. THis guy is an amazing coach, even though Kobe's got a bunch of D-Leaguers to play with, Phil makes the best out of it. Great coach. His credentials dont lie as well.
