Re: CB32's 2007 NBA Draft Positional Rankings Aside from switching spots here and there (Hawes/Hibbert, Horford/Jianlian) I would put Tiago Splitter over McRoberts and move Marcus Williams over to the 3 because he doesn't have the shot to be an NBA 2 guard. Other than those I agree with the list completely.
Re: CB32's 2007 NBA Draft Positional Rankings Good draft preview, I like the list. I think whoever drafts Taurean Green in the late first or second round is going to get a steal. He kind of reminds me alot of Jameer Nelson. From His size and body type, he is short and pretty cut for his size. He has a good outside shot on him, can hit the spot up jumper pretty well, and he can hit the outside shots from creating on his own. He can get into the lane with relative ease, alot like Jameer Nelson can when he drives. He isn't huge on keeping the ball in his hands for long periods of time, Green likes to send the ball into motion and keep ball movement. I see these guys being alot alike at an NBA level, I just think Green will be a better playmaker. He has slightly better court vision, and awareness. The Magic should have the first pick after the lottery teams go, so I would like to see the Magic go for Aaron Afflalo as I think he will be there around that time. Afflalo can help to give a perimeter shooter, that is more athletic, and continue to improve our defense which is pretty good. A one two punch at the two guard spot, of Afflalo and Redick would be pretty good for the Magic I think.
Re: CB32's 2007 NBA Draft Positional Rankings wow, not often PG and SG have the least appealing players top to bottom in a draft.

The same reason I didn't put Koponen in the top 5 for PG's, Gasol or Tomic in the Top 5 for centers, and Fernandez in the top 5 for SG's. I hear/read a lot of good things about them, but I haven't seen them play at all so I couldn't make a judgement. So, I thought it was fair to put them as "On the Bubble" players. I also disagree with you about Marcus Williams. I think he can play the 3 (as well as the 2 and the 1, he's a 3-position player that reminds me of Jalen Rose SO MUCH), but I think he's better suited for the 2 right away. I think this because first of all, he has good court vision, can handle the ball, and make plays for others. But secondly, because he's too lanky to keep up with these 6'7'' 235 lbs. 3's in the NBA (much like Gerald Green in his rookie year). He does need to improve his outside shot, no argument there, but I think he'll be fine at the 2 right away. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (valo35 @ May 19 2007, 10:54 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>The Magic should have the first pick after the lottery teams go, so I would like to see the Magic go for Aaron Afflalo as I think he will be there around that time. Re: CB32's 2007 NBA Draft Positional Rankings Ooops, forgot about that little part. Well, If we did have a first round pick, that is who we should pick.
Re: CB32's 2007 NBA Draft Positional Rankings I was talking to melo015 about this, I would like to see Mavs move up in the 20's and snag Javaris Crittenton. I think he's the type of pg we need on this team.
Re: CB32's 2007 NBA Draft Positional Rankings I disagree with this thread acie law iv is the best pg in the draft period possibly even the world

He's coming out early, and unlike Conley, he didn't run the team well, didn't show great maturity, dribbled the ball too long and made a lot of mistakes. Sure he's quick, athletic and has potential....but he needs a lot of work...if you want to play the waiting game and hope he pans out, I guess you have the players on your roster right now to make that work.

Re: CB32's 2007 NBA Draft Positional Rankings I like that Almond/Redd comparison alot.. He's such a great scorer, and when he's on - there is nobody that can guard him..
Re: CB32's 2007 NBA Draft Positional Rankings He dropped 44 points and cleaned up 12 rebounds against Vanderbilt this year. He shoots 48% from the field while attempting 18 FGs a game. This guy cleans up the glass pretty well for a SG, too. The only other SG in this draft who may have a better NBA career than him is Rudy Fernandez. A lot of people compare him to Manu Ginobili.
Re: CB32's 2007 NBA Draft Positional Rankings Wow look at the forward depth in this draft.Nice list, one little detail for my list is Tucker over Rush, but that is it.

I saw GT play probably 3 times, which isn't a lot, but Crittenton didn't seem too out of control to me. He actually carried himself pretty well and stayed poised, IMO.
Re: CB32's 2007 NBA Draft Positional Rankings Crittenton is going to be one hell of a point guard, whether he stays in the draft or not. He's an excellent passer, great size and strength for a PG, great-agressive defender, and I like him as a person also. He's pretty much been the guy at PG all year, and I thought he out played Thaddeus Young all year. His potential is underrated, I believe he's got one of the highest "ceilings" in this years draft.
