Is he the guy responsible for those stupid overhead shots of the game? God I hate that. Also, I have a question and a request: Why on earth does the game score immediately disappear from the screen the second the half is over, and the same the second the game ends? Can someone please leave the score on the screen? That would be cool. Thanks.
Nice write up @Strenuus . It can get crazy sometimes in there for sure. Glad you stopped by and saw all the work that goes on to get the game on the air.
And what he left out is, @Strenuus got two of our last elements on the air. Had him roll our machine for us. He was nervous, but did good!!!
Groovy. In all seriousness, that was cool of HCP to show stren the ropes (that’s an easy lob on my earlier jokes). Great write-up by stren.
It's so true! Since I had read your recap of the night you went, I would try to align some of the things happening in the truck to that... and I couldn't. The sheer amount that goes on makes your head spin. It was fantastic to watch. It'd of been weird had they said "Okay, we're going to X for the live shot" And then hear my tiny ass voice go "Umm, guys. That camera is weird. Can we go to ummm..." Then Jeff Curtain is standing over me, removes my headset, then I become Jazz from Fresh Prince as Curtain assumes the role of Uncle Phil and he throws me out the truck. LOL. It almost sounds like you work for the truck. hahahaha. It was an absolute blast and a night I will never forget. I don't really know (or have I actually noticed that, to be honest). That is true! I was nervous. "When he says roll Red, that's your cue." And then I got fearful my hearing would momentarily fail me. LOL. So HCP helped me. He had my back. Or maybe because one of the elements had a still of the cheerleaders and I was too busy staring at them to hear anything. (I mean come on, guys... I had to stare at HCP the whole night, can you blame me)? Funny thing: We had to leave the truck door open a couple times. He said it was because it was hot. Everyone else knew why. hahaha. No, really, though, it was hot!!
Nice write up. Really makes you appreciate the work people do to bring us the Blazers Night in and night out. Thanks.
Fantastic job on the writeup @Strenuus ! Still waiting for my turn to spend a game in the truck with the famous HCP
