some good idea...limit the amount of middle relievers. Say 2 MR and 1 Closer

The thing I always come back to is that I find it hard to believe a group would spend so much time and money developing the idea with paying a firm to make renderings, buying/leasing land, etc. without thinking that it had a real chance of happening.

It certainly has a chance to succeed. My point is it also has a chance to fail

Please do let me know why.

Is there a guarantee of a team?
No way they need public funds for road construction etc?
    Mariners dont own tv rights?

Nah tired of doing and providing research for others. You can look it up if you like. Otherwise don't, and that is fine also. My opinion is you are misinformed and have not looked into it enough. I'm gonna stick with that.

LOL. That was better backtracking than a cornerback. You have no answer. I am not misinformed. Every single thing I brought up is as legitimate obstacle.

Peninsula Park had a whole little league of very diverse teams.

    I played in that league.

    Shame that's gone now.

MLB probably has the lowest black participation rate they've ever had.

With this plan, we're all but guaranteed an expansion team, which should happen in the next 6 to 7 years. Also, almost, if not all big cities without an MLB team are in the regional TV zone of another franchise. That's not going to stop expansion, unless you think they'll never expand at all.

So that's two of your points down the drain, so into the third... if you think public funding for road construction is going to stop this project from happening, then I dont know what to tell ya.

Obviously the mayor and the project (who's done much more research on the matter than any of us) have confidence in it. No reason you shouldnt.

Basketball is easier to practice and easier to play. Just need a ball.

Cheaper too. You don't even need a nice ball or basketball shoes.

    There are courts everywhere.

Now playing competitively? That can cost thousands.

It's not closed. The league is gone but the fields are there and in great condition.
