    My thought exactly, when I saw the thread title. Portland sportswriter moralists keep reliving their happiest years. "Waah, we have no one to persecute anymore." Maybe Olshey or Stotts? "But...they're white."

    I just want some stories. Fuck the historical relevance or moralizing. The ABA had Marvin Barnes playing high on PCP, wall to wall hookers and a former player becoming a diamond smuggler to be murdered by Idi Amin. I want at least one story that I can put in my all time scrap book of memorable sports anecdotes.
