XFL is coming back too plus there is another Pro Football league starting that I forget the name of. Seems like some of them should have held off.
Looking at the team names, and reading the comments from Williams in the article, it's pretty clear that they're trying to capitalize on the anthem protest controversy, and setting this up as the black people's football league. Community ownership, encouraging athletes to use their platform and voice, evoking Jim Brown--they're taking direct shots at the NFL's mostly white ownership and value system. I would not be at all surprised if this gets a significant following within a very short period of time.
Good. ANYTHING but the NFL. I'll be the first person down there buying season tickets. If somebody would just make a commitment to a team in this city. And thanks to Larry Scott, the Pac-12 has become a pile of dogshit too.
Yep, and you're not alone. This FFL wants your support, and it sounds like (at least early in the process) they're going about it the right way.
For a league to be successful, they need top tier talent. That is key. If they can convince top tier players to join their teams, they will have a shot.... otherwise no.
Well, this new spin up of the XFL is designed to align with the other side of the anthem protest. As in, the XFL will be the Trump football league.
