So, once again, you ignore the fact that current California politicians are the ones that brought it so much forward from where it was during the last decade and penalize them for mistakes of past administration. Sorry, but this logic is absurd. I can post lists of rankings too: https://www.businessinsider.com/state-economy-ranking-q1-2018-2#7-utah-45
We should sell California to China. At least we could pay off the national debt, we didn't get shit for Trump selling the White House to Russia.
The logic that ANYTHING California does or does not do that works for California would work on a national level is absurd. They have the best land and the best weather in the country. Again, if you transplanted every person and every business from California to Wyoming they'd leave faster than you can imagine. Here's an analogy that might help. Say a struggling Bed and Breakfast in Brush Prairie Washington hires Steve Wynn as CEO and they implement paid parking and huge resort fees...would you be surprised if it didn't work? I've been all over Anaheim and LA, Santa Monica and Long Beach. I bought my orange SVT in San Diego and drove it back to Vegas. If someone from Vegas says California looks like a giant wasteland, that should tell you something.
The same goes for any other state. So should we elect a president from someplace else? Kenya maybe? Tells me the person from Vegas is projecting. barfo
So, the current administration inherited a giant budget deficit and a sputtering economy for a large population and managed to turn the economy around. California Gov. Jerry Brown signs his last budget, a $201 billion plan with a surplus of almost $9 billion compared with a large deficit he inherited back in 2011. Somehow this is something that is not good for the country in general? Should we have the current administration that in 2 years managed to increase the deficit twice as much in 2 years as the Obama administration did in 8 - despite the fact that they did not have recession to come out? I am sorry, but I am not buying this reasoning at all. All I am hearing is anecdotal evidence that completely ignores the actual achievements. You are managing to miss the forest for the shrubbery.
They got excess sun and need to re-hydrate. Also your hipsters are better than ours and we are running out of mustache gel.
Check out Kentucky's pension problem if you want to see serious trouble. Oregon really doesn't have much of a problem.
We need new parties...for instance, if the Libertarians solicited Robert DeNiro, they could at least have a recognized candidate.
I give Nancy credit for telling the media to loose the obsession with Trump. More politicians on both sides need to ask the media to be more focussed on policy rather than ratings. She also agreed that Trump bashing has been good for network ratings.
