Only if you're talking Margaritas. Dead bodies are a whole 'nother subject. I thought you pirates knew about this stuff. Nicht wahr?
Not as nice in real life as in the ad, unfortunately. The good news, my kid likes driving it. The bad news, not this one. Still looking. (Although we might just call it a day and buy her something boring like an Acura). I do like the blue lights, however.
She likes it - which tells me that she has a proper sense of whimsy. But, we are not going to get this one - found some issues I did not like with it. I suspect we will end up with something boring for her, since they are hard to find. I was hoping for this one - but too many issues that require attention and I doubt the owner will be willing to come down in price to reflect these issues. Just to ensure that I do not really put myself in child-abuse situation, she is not going to be driving an Audi...
@KingSpeed Hey Eric, just wanted to revive this thread and see how Uber is working out for you. You mentioned it briefly while we were waiting around outside for @SlyPokerDog before the BOS skybox game. Are you still doing it? Are you actually making money? Do you drive UberSelect exclusively? Are there enough UberSelect requests to keep you busy, or do you also pick up UberX fares? The reason I ask, is I just bought a 2015 BMW 328i M Sport (@HCP - no rice rocket for me, at least not this time). I didn't buy it primarily for Uber. I have another full time job. I'm just looking to pick up a little extra cash on the weekends. Don't worry, I'm in Wilsonville. So, I would be directly competing with you for most fares. I was thinking about just a few trips from Wilsonville to PDX on the weekends, or maybe an occasional evening trip. Not looking to get rich, just looking to earn a little extra cash on the side. Obviously, not the most practical choice for Uber driving (from the guy who recommended a Camry earlier in this thread). I have a friend who has one and she let me drive it when we went to the Coast a couple months ago and it was a very comfortable car that was fun to drive on those twisty roads through the Coast Range: BNM
This thread is 100% appropriate and is titled appropriately and is in the appropriate Off Topic section. What more could the author do? Hey, if you don't like it, you've always got the option of not reading it. Your an adult, you can make the decision with no one's help.
I think my wife and I are going to sell her 13 year old Camry and buy a new S60 Volvo with all wheel drive. When I need to get to the hospital, I need to get there. Can't afford the snow on our hill to block my path.
My brother had a Subaru with problems. I've owned nothing but Volvos and they endured a lot and kept on ticking. I got about 200,000 miles off my '69 and about 400,000 miles out of my '83. Had a 2005 Volvo but some lady rear ended me on the freeway while she wasn't looking and technically totaled it about ten years ago. Then my mother passed away and inherited her 2005 Volvo station wagon. Now, I hate wagons but it could go anywhere and was reliable. Gave the wagon to my brother-in-law and we have been driving my wife's 2005 Camry ever since. I still consider the Camry as my wife's car since she drives it almost exclusively these days. Edit: Oh, by the way, I couldn't find an all wheel drive Japanese sedan with all wheel drive. I could only find SUVs with all wheel drive.
The subaru legacy has all wheel drive. They would be considered a Japanese sedan. We are on our third Subaru and absolutely love them. Never had any problems.
My son just bought a newer Subaru with all the goodies hence I am buying his XTerra from him...I needed a good fishing rig and he got his dream Subaru...heated seats, all the car candy...my XTerra still has manual windows which is a must for me...can't handle electric windows at all..my new rig
Actually, Mr. Helper, this self indulgent, BS of a thread started in the main forum. It was moved to the OT forum after my comment. But context, right?
I am not Mr. Helper as you are not Mr. Rude. I also consider neither mine nor your post as self indulgent BS. A simple remark such as at the end of your very tasteful post would have sufficed, don't you think?
