The only thing keeping hope alive was getting Durant or Oden, and now that's gone. Unless he pulls off a blockbuster trade, something he has shown no ability of being able to do, this team will improve only marginally next season...just in time for all their young players to demand big deals and move on. He's made bad move after bad move and turned a solid playoff team into the second worst team in the league. He's changed his plan for the franchise every off-season. Where has he gotten us? Simply put, he's a bad GM. Sure he's drafted reasonably well, but that's not enough to make up for his deficiencies in every other area of the job. CB32, still stoked about giving up Roy for salary cap relief now?

I agree Ainge is a sh*tty GM but it's ironic you post this directly after the Celtics get screwed in the draft lottery. I'm as big as a critic as Ainge but you have to give the guy the benefit of this off-season. If he doesn't do sh*t this off-season he definately has to go. There's no way you can draft Yi Jianlian and get nothing else this off-season. Ainge has to make a move, if not several moves to make this team more mature and better. Otherwise, Doc, Wyc, Ainge, they all need to go in my opinion.

Only way we should fire Ainge imedietly is if he doesn't do sh*t in the offseason and drafts someone like Joakim Noah.

Before at least there was hope a top 2 pick could turn it around, and you can't fire the GM of a winning team even if he has nothing to do with why they're good. Now the Celtics won't be competing at a high level anytime soon barring a blockbuster. Does anyone really think he's capable of turning things around?

Fire Ainge because we don't win the lottery... nice dude. I agree he needs to go, but the lottery has nothing to do with it. I'll give him this last offseason. If he doesn't pull some sh*t out of his ass this offseason and make something out of this pick and all of our tools, I'll be let down. But you can't say to fire him because of this lottery stuff.

He's the reason the team is in the state it is now. Now he has to pull off a miracle, which has a chance of happening, but since I'm not too fond of chance at the moment and Danny's previous deals have done nothing to instill confidence I doubt he'll be able to get anything done.

Fire Ainge for keeping Doc.Doc is not really developing the young talent on the team. Hell he kept Rondo on the bench during the failed Telfair experiment.Al developed through his own dedication to being in good shape.West, Green, Perkins, Telfair have not improved significantly with Doc on the Bench.Ainge should get the summer now to do something that will improve this team's playoff chances.Maybe if we just miss out on the 2008 playoffs we'll get the #1 pick.. of course it'll be a super weak draft and we'll get Olowokandi 2.0
