    baby steps...first beat the good teams the hard way then blow out the bottom feeders and enjoy the 3rd string in the endgame...with the west as tough as it is I don't see much garbage time this season..going to be a dogfight all year

    I'm not so sure. The refs were really in that game? Can't really say they were leaning one way or another but they were sure in the game.

    Well we won but I can't imagine a much uglier win than that. We won't win many close games with that kind of play.

    I'm going to pay a friend to keep calling me up and ask me, "Did we beat Doc Rivers today?"

    It'll be like that old story about drummer Buddy Rich. His agent keeps getting a phone call from an ex-band member asking, "Is Buddy Rich dead?"

    "Yes. He said. "Buddy Rich died last week."

    "Thank You." And the guy hangs up.

    So the same musician keeps calling again and again asking if Buddy Rich is dead. Finally, the exasperated agent said.

    "Hey! Why do you keep calling? You know Buddy is dead."

    "I know. I just love hearing about it!"

    Good quality win, against a tough team. Thought the Blazers should have put Nurk back in with a minute-forty to go. Playing small helped the Clippers IMO. Missed many rebounds, and they ended up in second and third chances for the Clips. But a good win never the less. Especially on the road. Bench was so-so. Not awful, but not good either. Like to see the bench put back to back good games together. PLEASE! But the team is trending up again. Need to make hay on this 3 game homestand. GO BLAZERS!!
