Okay, Milwaukee, Memphis and Boston fans...I know we're pissed and mad and want to blame Stern blah blah blah. But point it, the top 10 picks are going to get a very good player. They will probably never amount to Durant or Oden..but look at it like this, in the '84 draft, there was MJ and Hakeem...but there was also Barkley, Stockton etc. Just cause we didnt get Oden or Durant doesn't mean YI Jialin, Brandon Wright or Al Horford arent going to become great players. Take it for what it is, and who knows, this may be a blessing in disguise. Boston might win #1 next year, draft Derrick Rose or Beasely or something and become awesome.
See the thing is, austingriz, there is no such thing as player who emerge late in these types of draft. This type of draft is exactly like the 2003, a clear cut franchise player + ROY. Im sorry austingriz, but your not getting a franchise player within the next 3 years with the 4th pick this year. However, the 1st and 2nd picks are going to be franchise players, very soon to add.
ONE of these three teams mentioned in austingriz's post is going to get as good a player as Oden or Durant...it happens every draft that one guy will slip to one you...but it's not gonna happen to all three. You'll all get solid players, but there will be Oden, Durant, then whoever BOS, MEM, or MIL drafts...One of those three teams will get a player on the level of a durant or oden, when the other two will just get a solid pro for years to come..I got a weird feeling that's whats goin to happen.

Check out the 2003 draft and what players like Wade and Bosh have done so far despite all the hype around LeBron and Melo. There are a lot of good players this year, and it is a much better year to be in top 10 than the previous 2-3 years.
I dont agree with eithier of those two. Im saying it right now. No rookie this year will blossom more or effectively as Durant/Oden.

Right now Wade is probably as good or better than Melo. I mean who's to say that Brandon Wright or Mike Conley or someone won't be the Dwyane Wade of this draft. I mean just like Wade maybe in their 2nd season they would get teamed up with another superstar and maybe get their team to the finals.
This isn't the f'n 03 draft. There won't be 5 franchise players. MAYBE 5 all stars but no it is not the '03 draft.Listen. There is no cure or therapy for watching this team night in and night out. Sure I may have missed a game here or there but for the past 12 or so years I've watched this team through the good and the bad. I get up everyday and read the newspaper and read the websites about the Celtics. I go to as many games as I can afford a year. I have posters on my wall. I buy the jersies. I buy the cards. I buy the shirts. I buy the shorts. I've dedicated a major part of my life to this team because I love it so much. We've been F*cked over by the NBA I don't know how many times. Len Bias died. The NBA refused to free cap space for us when Reggie Lewis died (god bless their souls). We got the 3rd pick in the 97 draft with the best chances to win #1. We got the #5 pick in this draft and are spinning in circles as far as one direction is concerned. Doc Rivers is our coach. DOC RIVERS IS OUR COACH for the next two years. We're mediocre and have been for 20 years. I refuse to accept it and it hurts me to see us sink this low. Why?
All teams go through it..Memphis is probably the least respected team in the NBA, I have to deal with that constantly.

There is always 1-2 players outside of first 2-3 picks that end up being studs, and then a few who slip to late first round/2nd round and end up being stars. As for the rest of your post, I'm so sorry your favorite team has had the unfortunate history of 16 championships. Seriously. I feel horrible for you. The NBA totally has screwed you guys...totally.
Wow, there was about a 1/1000 chance of the three top picks not going to any of the three worst teams.
