They won a Playoff series last year and we didn't win a single game....with HCA. Not sure I prefer being on the low end of that comparison.

That was a tough loss no question. I watched shots that should go in miss all night long. We are talking layup and free throws. They actually came back and made the stats respectable shooting over 40% and over 30% from three but the game was over by then.
The Jazz were lights out from 3 point. Way way better than usual shooting 51%. Also Korver and Crowder smoked the Blazer bench bad.
One thing that stands out is the Blazers are a better rebounding team than them but they matched tonight at 42 a piece. You also will probably not see them shoot 55% from the field again. They don't usually shoot that well.
Best team was the Jazz tonight. The Blazers need to take care of business on Sunday and get a win against Dallas. They owe them one after their loss in Dallas.

Then it's at Utah on Christmas. Blazers can turn this right around and go take one on their court. My bet is that will be a better game.

I'm not sure Lou Williams is the Clippers best player. I'd say Harris and Gallo are both better...at least Harris is. But they were also missing Mbah a Moute, and he's a big part of their defense

that's what happened a ton last season....Portland had a magical season in that they must have won 15-20 games against teams missing their best players and integral starters. It was crazy and I think it inflated Portland's record, by quite a bit, which in turn made that 3rd seed an unrealistic gauge of the roster

    So just to confirm....

    1) We suck against teams with good Defense

    2) We suck against fast teams with length

Swell. Just brilliant. What a great 1990s-era basketball team Neil has built here....

it was either @Boob-No-More or @BonesJones that posted a really good breakdown showing the Blazers really didnt get more of a break from injured players then anyone else.

Not sure why that is humiliating? Joe Ingles is a good player. Very smart and shoots well. Solid veteran.

Not so much humiliating as depressing. Some of us had high hopes for Collins, but he is turning out to just be another journeyman. We could have gotten equal or better production by keeping Davis or Vonleh.

I almost left early (which I almost never do); getting smoked by Jingles was gross . . .

Perhaps not more than anyone else....but the teams themselves were hurt by their own injuries.

The Spurs finished behind the Blazers a mere 2 games with missing their All-NBA player the entire season.
The Jazz were only 1 game behind the Blazers missing Gobert for a significant amount of games.
....and so on and so on.

So maybe ever other team played teams missing players like we did but I can't imagine the teams themselves missing players wouldn't have been much better without so many missed games.

I don’t think Collins getting trolled by JIngles is an indication of whether he’ll fulfil his potential or not.

It’s actually a sign of respect. JIngles wouldn’t bother trying to get into his head, if he didn’t think Collins could make a difference.
