I'm not sure if Barnes missed the point or was trying to change the subject.

I can see both sides of the mixtape thing. From a merely practical set of circumstances, for a lot of athletes.... mixtapes are the way to go. Say a player hasn't had a lot exposure, has gotten hurt quite a bit or has picked up the game rather late.... in that case an assistant coach seeing a mixtape can get a kid a scholarship. Maybe not so much in basketball but definately in football. There are HOF players like Warren Moon and Brian Urlacher who never would had been discovered if they hadn't promoted themselves.

But there is definately an over exposure for some of the younger kids. It's not so much with Hudl, which is more a basic video recruiting platform. But you'll see it when a parent will post a bunch of videos to Youtube. And iIt will be of some kid acting lke Pistol Pete Maravich or throwing up more points than Lamelo Ball in a HS game.

Clip Titled - "LOOK THE NEXT STEPH CURRY!"

And from then it crosses the line from self promotion into something egotistical and tacky. And that's maybe what Cuban is talking about. I mean, this guy has a good an understanding of youth athletics and is pretty outspoken as far as the NCAA is concerned. But dealing with enough slimey agents promoting their Jag clients to him all the time.... Maybe he figured, "there has got to be a more effective ayatem in Europe."

So I can see why some people would be mad because for them those same mixtapes spelled out a future. And then I can see some shady types involved with AAU and youth athletics using this fervor to say, "The system is fine. Norhing is wrong! Cuban doesn't understand what he's talking about. Business as normal. Shut up! Business as normal!"
And I think those people are full of shit.

It's always funny to me when the people who never experience racism are the first to classify what it is...

I don't think intelligence had anything to do with it. At worst, I would call it a case of people from different backgrounds just seeing things very differently.

How the hell do you know whether I have or have not experienced rasism? You don't know a damn thing about me or where I come from.... I guarantee you that I have.

Unfortunately, racism does still exist in this country...sometime unbelievable acts.

None of that changes the fact that his comments were not racist.

It's his common narrative to try to justify anything he claims as racist. Whenever it's at least somewhat questionable, he sees it as racist. That's fair, but then if someone disagrees about the intent of a comment, he pulls this, as if you have to have experienced direct racism to have an opinion on the intent of someone words... @dviss1, I love ya, but man....

How serious do you think LeBron’s injury? Beginning of the end? No playoffs for Lakers if he misses a month or more? Out for the year?

Maybe a 2-4 weeks and I think he’ll enjoy the resting for most of january, then the two week break in febraury, and have more than enough energy to get them to the playoffs.

    Golden State isn't even trying.

If I hear anyone say Klay should be an all star, I'm gonna get pissed. That dude is playing in second gear all season and gets like no defensive attention whatsoever.

Good teams don’t get blown out at home by injured team. Shameful.

If I am playing in a big game; one guy I want on my team for sure is Rajon Rondo.
