    Technically, it's Skid Road. It's named after a road in Seattle where they use to skid logs down the road and into the water to be rafted somewhere else for shipping. I learned that when I worked in Seattle.

    It's not my historical accuracy, it's Seattle's.

    Of course, a band can name itself almost anything it wants, historically accurate or not.

    My point was more to all the times I've seen a location in a troubled part of town called Skid Row rather than the name of the band Skid Row. I apologize for not making that clear.
