Lee pitched eight outstanding innings as Indians defeated theTampa Bay Devil Rays 3-2, on Sunday. The Indians won for the fifth time in six games and moved aheadof second place Detroit by two games in the AL Central. Lee (5-4) equaled a career-high with nine strike outs as heallowed only one run on four hits. Lee started off the game by striking out the first five battershe faced before allowing a solo home run to Carlos Pena in thesecond. That would be the only mistake Lee would make as heallowed only two hits the rest of the way. The Tribe lefthander didn't allow a runner past first base afterPena's home run until Akinori Iwamura hit a two-out double inthe eighth. The effort resulted in Lee's third straight winningdecision.
