I have a question for Suns fans. When are you all going to win some championships so you guys can have a past of your own to bring up?
I don't know, why don't you stop bringing up the past and think about how sh*tty your team is now? J/K I'm really enjoying right now though, even if it is just 3 years. I wonder what happens once Jackson leaves, Kobe is over 30 and they still aren't contenders. teehee, I hope this stretches out for a couple more years because then it'll really be hell for you guys.
you have no way of knowing if we'll be contenders and I don't think Phil is going to leave for a long time. Why do you? Because Jackson and Buss had a argument? So what. It's just an argument people have them all the time. Doesn't always mean the person will pack up and leave. I'm sure it will get resolved.

You talk about how tough it is to be a fan of a team that no one cares about. So when the teams that people do care about fail, you cheer, hence your avatar title. Seriously man, you act like Lakers fans are so lucky and spoilled. Do you know how much it sucks to watch your team go to the finals 4 times in 5 years, then not make it past the first round 3 years in a row, right next to eachother? Or how much it sucks to watch one of your heroes go to another team and constantly criticize your other hero and you as a fan? Especially when the whole world is on his side, and everyone wants to see you fail.</div> I act like Lakers fans are spoiled and lucky? A majority of Lakers fans are. Like in your above post you say, 'We went to the finals 4-5 years and won 3 titles'...and now 'we have not made it out of the first round in 3 years'....Do you honestly expect me and most fans to seriously sympathize with you? Thats ridiculous....Most fans would be happy to have 5 finals appearanced in a 20 year span....You poor thing! And people make fun of Kobe Bryant? Big fricken deal. Great players are always going to get hated on, you again, want me to sympathize with you because your superstar player gets bashed by stupid fans? You expect me to feel sorry for you? I would love to have a 28 year old HOF player, I wouldn't bi*ch because a few people don't like him. You expect me to sympathize because your HOF center was critical of your other HOF guard that's still on your team? This is a pure example of a spoiled fan, most fans would die to have your situation, your success and your superstars over the last 20 years. This is why most people cannot stand a percentage of Lakers fans. Good lord.

I just get frustrated when people act like Lakers fans don't have to go through anything. I know it's hard to be a fan of a team that's never good. But it's hard being a fan of a team as up and down and dramatic as the Lakers too.

We're not that good to begin with so implosion might actually be a good thing.
Asu fan, we have the memories of winning rings.Your memories....The funny thing is that the suns after 2 60 win seasons still haven't even made the nba finals. And there fans act as if there the best thing that has happened. Oh well, it's going to be nice seeing the suns get beat again next season and after that seeing nash break down.
While I agree with some of what chuckthed said, the fact that you call consecutive 7th seeds "mediocrity" amuses me. A lot of fans would kill for that "mediocrity".

You are talking to Los Angeles fans...we not only have the Lakers, we have the Los Angeles Dodgers, Sparks, USC and UCLA, Galaxy etc. All teams that have been pretty successful.
I was talking to an Australian, not to you. I don't care what you've got. Our teams are all pretty new except for the Suns. It would be pretty embarrassing if we were better in sports when your state has 6x the people and has been here longer. All I'm saying is that a shot by some guy when I was two doesn't give me any pain, especially when I look at your team now and all you got to look at is the past, especially if you guys get nothing done this offseason. And I have other things to pay attention to.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (ASUFan22 @ May 26 2007, 11:40 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Just go watch some classic Lakers games and feel good about yourselves. Most teams have to deal with this stuff all the time and only wish they could have 11 championships, or for some teams, 11 playoff appearances. You guys have nothing to complain about. Phil+Kobe gave you 3 championships. I'm guessing about 95% of pro teams probably don't have that much. I guess it's expected though. Look at the really rich, snobby kids in movies or TV shows that get upset and feel like their life is over because of the smallest things, like a broken nail or.."Damn, only 52 presents this year?" and that's what Lakers fans are like.</div><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (ASUFan22 @ May 26 2007, 07:51 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I was talking to an Australian, not to you. I answered Lakersfan about that. It's all in good fun. I'm just saying that I, if I was a Lakers fan, would do that and not feel that bad at all.

They cry and moan about how people talk about Kobe, how they haven't made it out of the first round, blah blah. Probably the only people that have had it easier in the past ten years are Spurs and Pistons fans. That's about it.
