Assuming/hoping we put together a package similar to Ratliff/Green/West/5th pick/filler for a good veteran or two, why not sign Morris Peterson with the MLE? Now, if we don't pull off a deal like that and Gerald Green is still in Boston next year, then forget about it. But if we do end up pulling of a big deal, I think Mo-Pete would fit in very nicely here. We could use his shooting, experience, and he's also a pretty solid defender (certainly better than Wally or Gerald). Also note that last summer, Pierce publicly mentioned Peterson as a veteran he'd like to target. Thoughts?
He's not going to want to sign with you guys...You just have to many SG/SF's...He wants to get some serious PT.
If hes leaving the Raptors he is going somewhere he can play. But its Mo Pete can you really see him anywhere else lol like hes been here through everything.
I'd like to see him here if he replaces someone else, and if we trade some people away, because obvioulsy we have too many wings. But yeah I like Peterson. Great stroke, and when he's hot (which just so happens to be about every time he plays the Celtics), he makes it rain, so I think having this guy on the bench could be pretty valuable.

Well, I think there will be stiff competition for his services, especially at the MLE. Most teams have that and with that being the case, I see him choosing a winning organization.

If that doesn't happen, then forget about it. If we end up with Paul Pierce, All-Star #2, and Al Jefferson, Boston would be more intriguing.
This thread is dumb. Only trade you mention Gerald Green in is if were getting a player like Kevin Garnett. Mo Pete's career is dead. I wouldn't sign Mo Pete, he sucks he's like Kareem Rush to the fifth power, he gets real lucky sometimes though. But why the hell would you rather have Mo Pete on the team than Gerald? Rhetorical!

Even though when I picture Mo Pete in Celtic green it seems weird, it's very possible. Very low chances of him returning to T-Dot, and a team that needs a hot shooter like the Celtics could use him. We'll have to wait and see.
Like CB4 said, Morris Peterson wants to get minutes, something he won't get in Boston. Besides, why would you want a player, who in his contract year, couldn't even start? Obviously Peterson is a good player, but come on, if he was a good defender as you guys think, he wouldn't have been in the position he was in this season.

Also, he's not going into a contract year, it would be a free agent signing with the MLE. Every pickup doesn't have to produce a big time starter, BCB. I have no idea what you were getting at there. Mo-Pete would be an excellent 6th man in Boston (again, this is all only if we make a big deal for an All-Star).
