And Atlanta is 11-25. Dont know how their careers will play out but Atlanta is in rebuild mode playing young guys a lot of minutes. Zachs on a team that thinks they can compete now and are not at all showcasing young guys.

lol this narrative again. If Zach had game, he'd play more. He's been given plenty of opportunity as is. Meyers is so much better this year.

I can't believe these poll results. People just sleepin on John.

Well it's not so much about the minutes as much as ATL plays through John a ton because they believe he's there future or a major piece of it with T. Young. I just think the situations are pretty different. Also, they're drastically different players. John is a way better scorer and rebounder at this point. Zach is much better on Defense. I haven't actually voted yet as I think it's kind of too early to know with either one.

Zach occasionally shows good potential as a fairly one-dimensional, defensive player. John may not have that level of defense but seems to have a more well-rounded game. Sure, John is playing more time on a bad team but I can't imagine Zach putting up anywhere close to those numbers even were he given that amount of playing time.

Sadly, we are often like Olshey and are overly "in-love" with our guys. We are continually afraid to have another Jermaine O'Neal mistake.

Is Zach a bust? No, but neither do I think he will be a breakout player. I picture him having a decent role-playing career. I have no qualms about sending him away in the right trade.

    Gramps...

You guys will know we drafted the right Collins after Olshey gives him a max contract.

For years a laughing stock, Brooklyn this season has mysteriously improved to just under .500.

Ed Davis, one of their best players, is averaging

EDIT: Sorry! I thought I was in the Around the NBA: January thread.

Yeah it's definitely not because Jarrett Allen or Spencer Dinwiddie improved a lot, it's because of their backup C.

    Yawn.

If John Collins was on our team he wouldn't have those numbers. Zach coming along just fine in his development. He be up and down probably the rest of the year. But as long he continued to play defense and get some rebounds I find with that at his stage in development. Me any points he get right is a bonus.
