With last nights game and the way he has been playing I am not sure I would. With the numbers he has been putting up and it stays consistent and with his contract how much would we gain? I think if AD came here Stotts would try to turn him into a 3 point shooter which would defeat the purpose of him coming here. I would like to revisit this 48 hours before the trade deadline and see. I think Stotts is pissed at Nurk because he isn't out there jacking up 3's and losing the freakin game.

    Nope. Always liked Nurk.

And you never heard me say "I used to always hear him say stuff like "you know how I feel about Nurk but I have to give him credit since he played well tonight" either.

Folks, criticize me all you want but at least get it right. It's not hard.

Really? I'm not critical? Again... you can criticize my takes or disagree all you want but you don't have to make shit up. I've been critical of this team for literally the entire time I've been writing/podcasting/hosting, etc. I've railed against personnel decisions, lineups, coaching, sets, salary management, you name it. People ask me to be MORE positive because I'm critical of a lot. I'm not dodging anything and I never will. Quit putting up these straw-men to make yourself look like more.

You do always come across as critical of Nurk though. Which is fine, and maybe it comes across that way but isnt meant that way. Thats been my impression though.

I had to take a course on how to give good criticism once and a big portion of the course was actually about how to be positive in your criticism. Not defending anyone or criticizing you, so dont take it that way. I guess my point would be the best ways to criticize is to also compliment the good at the same time. It comes across as more genuine. I havent watched enough to know, but in my opinion (you may feel differently), the criticism at times seems like its not balanced very well with positivity. Im not saying lie, or be positive just for the heck of it.

Anywho this isnt my fight. Hope you’re doing well and since this is my first interaction with you, “Hello!”

Totally get it and that's more in line with what 99% of people tell me- that I'm too critical for their liking. I understand that and I appreciate the feedback, truly. I'm never going to make everyone happy with what I say and that comes with the job- all that I ask is that it's framed fairly and correctly. Saying that I'm not critical, or unwilling to discuss certain things is so far off base... I don't even know what to say.

Thanks again for your thoughts- I'll try to keep that in mind.

When? I've been one his Nurk's biggest supporters- the only criticism I've had for him is that he wasn't living up to his potential. Now if you said this about Collins... yeah that's fair. I've been most critical of him and Harkless. But Nurkic? Nah.

I haven't watched a lot of episodes of the outsiders because honestly most of the time when the game is over I go to bed. I remember early this season at one point thinking you guys were being pretty critical of Nurk.
I have to be fair though early in the year I was pretty critical of Nurk's defense, but had to accept that the way they're calling games this year Nurk and all bigs just aren't really allowed to be too physical. They've backed off some of that at this point though.

If I've been critical of Nurkic it's b/c I expect more from him- not that I don't like him or that I don't think he's good. I've wrote about it substantially over the last year and I've consistently said that I think Nurkic should be the 2nd most important guy on this team.

That's the genesis of most of the fan criticism of Blazer players really: expectations not being met. People are frustrated with Meyers because he should be able to shoot willingly and consistently without hesitation; people are frustrated with CJ because he should be able to pass the ball when he's driving into a crowd of 4 defenders; and people get frustrated with Nurkic because he should be able to use his size and strength more effectively in the post.

Of course, there are other frustrations with players who play outside of their skillset (stop shooting 3s, Evan!!), but that's not relevant to this discussion.

When I said “always” I think that was the incorrect word to use. I shouldnt have used that word. I think most of the time frustrations come from believing a guy isnt meeting our expectations.
I dont neccesarily disagree with anything you’ve said.
To me Nurk isnt the best player or close thats Dame, but Nurk IS the 2nd most important player on the team he’s expected to do a lot on both ends of the court. Really Dame is mostly expected to just play great offense and be the leader of the team. They go nowhere if Nurkic isnt great on defense and “good” on offense.

In terms of the criticism of Nurkic, There was an episode of your post game show in November sometime around their road trip where they lost to the lakers that I felt if that was all someone saw of you they’d conclude you didnt like Nurk, just my two cents.

I'm sorry if I mischaracterized what you said, but is it possible that you are unknowingly giving off the perception of not liking Nurk? I obviously don't have the ability to watch old episodes and directly show you examples but if myself and others are getting a certain perception then I think there is probably some sort of tone or reason for feeling that way.

I appreciate you trying to set the record straight but maybe do so without trying to come back at us. All it would take is for you to say you like Nurk and don't know why it comes across differently. I realize you have to toe a line in your current situation whether you can admit it or not.

You had every right to be critical. He went for a very long time throwing up lazy flip shots at the basket and rounding passes that got picked off. Only 2-3 weeks ago half this board had him as trade bait. What game was it he missed a bunch of consecutive shots?
I can promise you i have been very critical of Nurkic. Do i like Nurkic yes. Do i think they need to keep him yes. But this team badly needs a big man coach and Nurkic would do well to hire one in the off season.
