Rasho made more money than Bosh did last year. I think we should seriously trade this guy for someone else less expensive. Hes not a dominant center, his 15 footer is not excellent, he has little to no post moves, and is not a defensive threat on the glass. He has 7M left on his contract with a player option left. I dont want to pay Rasho to be mediocre and get 15M in the next 2 years, thats just a lot of cap space we could sign people with. Espcially people like Rashard Lewis who are sure to be leaving next year.

Well.. yes we knew that when we traded for him. We were so desperate to get a decent center that we were willing to take on his ugly contract. Unfortunately, we can't do anything about this especially when Bargnani will be starting at center next year. No other teams will want him either at this point so we will have to live with this until his contract expires.

I wouldnt mind waiving his 7M this year, because Im not living with him at center if he decideds to pick up his 8M. Hes not worth 15M to go 5-5.

Yeh Rasho isn't what we're looking for. Remember the last 2 games in the playoffs when Rasho didn't play and we had Bargnani in the starting lineup? We ended up sending it to game 6 because of Bargnani having a great first quarter to get us started. We almost won game 6 as well.

Who will guard the Dwight Howard's, Eddy Curry's, Shaq's, Yao's..etc..? I won't count on Bargnani or Bosh to..he is there for the next 2 seasons for mostly emergency cases.

With Andrea Starting at Center next season look at Rasho to be moved to a team like Utah that could really use him. Rasho is a speed bump in our system, and we might be able to get a nice return if we package him up with a couple of players.

Yeah, we needed him this year because we needed a Center badly....but I don't know if we want him anymore...He's slow as hell, he's old as hell...He can play defense, but seems out of place on offense at times...He's got pretty good touch, but not much offensive skill or talent at all...We also need a benger who can get us some reebs....Chris Bosh must be the only one who averages over 5 rpg...and that's just pathetic...we need an Andy Varejao who will battle for the boards as well..

Yes Rasho's contract is HUGE and yes it looks like it really handcuffs the team in the long run but at the time this team was in desperate need of a serviceable centre. Rasho isn't bad he just isn't worth 7 mill a year and for 2 years the raps have to live with it. It would be devestatingly hard to get rid of his contract. The guy is virtually untradeable. It would be nice to dump him to some sorry team but I don't see it happening (however with because you never know). For now Rasho is a fantastic situational player for this team and the bright side is once Rasho's contract is up it will be used for Bargs salary.

I think you guys should just ride it out. It's just next season and his option in 2009. Eight million is bad, but it's not that bad. At least he's not some 6'4" useless guard, you can use his size in situations. Hell, Rasho scares the hell out of Bogut for 3 games a year.

He can, but too often we are forced to play 4 on 5 since he really isn't a threat..thats the reason why Bargnani was inserted in the line-up in the playoffs and Rasho saw less than 15 mins a game.

Anyways, Rasho could help in Bargnani's development as a player, just like Darrick martin did for TJ ford and Calderon. But then again, Rasho can still play unlike Darrick Martin, who blows donkey chunks

I think having Rasho is a small issue. This team got completely overhauled and it 3 times better than it was last year.sometimes to make moves you have to take on contracts you don't want or keep ones you don't want.appreciate the way Colangelo was able to do a complete 180 with this team and make it a division winner.and be patient.you can't often be a title contender in 2 years after getting the #1 pick for crying out loud

Your all looking at this now, in the off-season while in the regular season he was hustling, playing solid D, and BTW his mid range shot isn't too bad. He has experience, and though he may be overpaid; isn't all that bad.
