Paul Manafort shared 2016 presidential campaign polling data with Konstantin Kilimnik, an associate the FBI has said has ties to Russian intelligence, according to a court filing.​

This summary involves - a powerful Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska (the Trump administration is attempting to eliminate sanctions against him), former GRU officer Konstantin Kilimnik, convicted felon Paul Manafort, a Republican operative who worked for Cambridge Analytica that has ties to Manafort and the GRU officer and is currently cooperating with Special Counsel Mueller, Rick Gates, and convicted Dutch lawyer Alex van der Zwaan.

Trump Campaign Chairman and convicted felon Paul Manafort[1] was closely associated with Russian Oligarch Oleg Deripaska, Deripaska gave Manafort a $10 million loan.[2] Their relationship is integral to understanding possible coordination/collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. Moreover, convicted felon Paul Manafort has broken his plea deal[3] and some Conservative pundits doubt Manafort will ever see the light of day again.[4]

According to videos recorded by an escort that were discovered by Russian opposition activist, Alexei Navalny, show Deripaska meeting Russian Deputy Prime Minister Prikhodko on a yacht 1 month after email correspondence between Manafort and Deripaska was established during the 2016 Trump Campaign.[5] Russia threatened to block access to social media sites, such as YouTube and Instagram, if they did not remove the videos of Deripaska and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Prikhodko meeting on a yacht.[6] The escort was detained in a Thai prison, plead not guilty but her minor immigration case has turned into a serious criminal case carrying 10 years in prison.[7] Coincidentally a high level Russian security official visited Thailand when she was detained.[8]

Coincidentally or not, one of Russia’s most important security and intelligence officials was also in Thailand on Tuesday. Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, former head of the Federal Security Service, held talks in Bangkok on the security of Russian tourists, RIA Novosti reported.​

Paul Manafort offered to give Russian billionaire Oleg Deripaska private briefings on the campaign trail.[9] Paul Manafort used a campaign account for the aforementioned email correspondence.[10]

In 2006 Paul Manafort offered a deal to Russian Oligarch Deripaska, Manafort expressed that he would offer a great service in pushing Putin's policies abroad. He was paid very handsomely by Deripaska.[11]

[Manafort]: “We are now of the belief that this model can greatly benefit the Putin Government if employed at the correct levels with the appropriate commitment to success,” Manafort wrote in the 2005 memo to Deripaska. The effort, Manafort wrote, “will be offering a great service that can re-focus, both internally and externally, the policies of the Putin government.”​

A few months ago a Republican lobbyist, an associate of Paul Manafort and Cambridge Analytica, pleaded guilty to charges of violating the Foreign Agents Registration Act and is cooperating with Special Counsel Mueller.[12] Like convicted felon Paul Manafort, Sam Patten worked closely with former Russian spy Konstantin Kilimnik. Special Counsel Mueller has indicted Kilimnik in his role with witness tampering in the Manafort case.[13]

When Paul Manafort had resigned as campaign manager on the Trump campaign his protege and longtime partner Rick Gates continued to work with the Trump campaign. Gates was in contact with Person A, who is former Russian intelligence officer Konstantin Kilimnik, weeks before the election.[14] The former GRU officer also happened to be a long time liaison between Manafort and Russian Oligarch Oleg Deripaska.

Alex van der Zwaan has plead guilty to lying to investigators, he lied to Special Counsel Mueller about contact he had with Rick Gates and Person A. Van der Zwaan was sentenced to 30 days in prison[15]

Kilimnik served as a liaison between Manafort and Deripaska. Manafort had previously denied communicating with Russian intelligence, he lied.[16]

The FBI has found that a business associate of former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort had ongoing ties to Russian intelligence, including during the 2016 campaign when Manafort and his deputy, Rick Gates, were in touch with the associate, according to new court filings.​
