yes and he has better teammates to alleviate that pressure.

You did see the playoffs last year, yes?

It's really fun to bash on CJ in one of his worst shooting years. But it gets tiring. He's getting so underrated in this forum, and I'm not even a big fan of his.

    1. How can Giannis get more defensive attention if he has better teammates than Lillard? You see the problem with that logic?

    2. Yes I did. CJ never got doubled. They sold their soul to take away Dame. That was CJs time to step up because god knows Stotts wasn’t trusting anyone else. He didn’t.

He gets more attention than Dame and he has teammates that can make open shots. And on top of that he's flat out better at handling doubles than Dame due to his size.
This is just flat out false. The only dudes they left open were Turner and Aminu. He put up 25/4/2 on 52/40/77 shooting splits. WTF more do you want him to do

Those numbers are skewed because of a big game four, when the series was already over.

it would be fun to bash on him in one of his best shooting years too, but I'm a jerk

some people keep saying that CJ is in a shooting slump. If he is, he's been in the same slump for 5 of the 6 seasons he's been in the league

C'mon man, Klay (even though I've argued that CJ isn't that far off from him in the past) and Jimmy both bring more to the table than just scoring.

So your one argument is that CJ is a better decoy than Brogdon, or what?

I've been looking at their stats and they're kind of interesting comparisons. VORP is really, in CJ's pocket - Don't beat me up too much for pointing that out just it seemed to be the most lopsided.
Then it's the eye test. I think CJ is the better player. However, I think you could make an argument that Brodgen may fit better?

Bulls are so dumb for not being willing to take on a bad contract in exchange for a pick. No free agent is gonna go there this summer and they’re gonna end up having to buy out Parker. Cool!

Honestly, how many times have you watched the Bucks play this year? If Brogdon had improved a lot would you have seen them enough to notice?

Not the right thread but I have hard time figuring out how the Bulls are so bad. When I look at their roster I think ok no superstars, but there are some solid players there.

I think I have seen 5 bucks games this year. So maybe not. I have never seen him in any game make me think wow he's really good, I always think he's ok. I have seen just about every game CJ has played in so yeah the sample size for the eye test is probably skewed.
How many bucks games have you watched?

edit: I think it may have been 4 games. Christmas Day, the two vs the Blazers and one where they blew out GS early in the year.

I think maybe just a few more than you. I do spend a decent amount of time in one of their forums (that one and a detroit one) because they are pretty active and I like to get a feel for what other fan bases think of their team. A lot of their fan base would choose him over Middleton in free agency this summer if they had to make a decision and that isn't necessarily because Middleton is playing bad, it's just how good Brogdon has been.

I look at it this way. One of the issues with CJ right now is that he over dribbles and can stop the flow of the offense to go one on one too often right? He's taking way too many shots for the efficiency output. I don't think that is arguable at this point as 20 points on 18 shot attempts per game is awful. Wouldn't it be better to have someone who can get buckets without it seeming like he is a big part of the offense? If CJ averaged 15 points a game on Brogdon's efficiency and at the end of the game we were like dang I barely even noticed CJ, wouldn't that be way better? Brogdon has played PG some too so it's not like he can't handle the ball or anything.

Once again, I don't really think CJ is a bad player and he'd be way better than Brogdon on some/most teams. Brogdon is currently taking as many shot attempts as Nurk is. Whether it is CJ or Brogdon don't you think it might be a good idea to give Nurk the 18 shot attempts per game CJ is getting and have CJ/Brogdon taking the 11 shots per game? Brogdon already averages that amount of fg attempts so there wouldn't be an adjustment like CJ needs to make.

I think the answer is Seth. I agree with just about everything you said. I think Seth should be their starting SG and either you have CJ play the scorer off the bench role or trade him in hopes of upgrading at forward.
I would probably agree that Brogden in theory is an better fit.

Seth isn't the answer in my opinion. Sure, he's shooting the 3 really well but he's even more of a ball stopper than CJ. Plus we'd have similar defensive issues with a small SG.

Edit: That isn't meant to be a knock on Seth, he's fine off the bench but he wouldn't be a starting SG on a good team.

You think he’s more of a ball stopper than CJ? I agree about the defensive issues thats probably the one thing Im not sure on how good of a defender is brogden, Im having a hard time remembering him on defense

Brogdon is average on defense, definitely not a lock down defender but not a complete turnstile either.

Seth's Assist% is 6.9% which is worse than CJ's by alot (his is around 12% if I remember correctly). He's been a black hole.

    I think Brogdons above-average. Like 6.5 on a scale of 1-10.
