Didn't see anyone post about it but it seems like Del is going to semi retire for this season. Also, we lost Sam Vincent to the Cats. So two of Avery's top assistants are not returning for the upcoming season. Anyone think this going to be a blow?I for one am disappointed Del will not return. I think at times, he was great to have behind Avery as a guide and helping him through situations, especially if say Avery was ejected. It was nice to have a ready NBA head coach ready in the wings. If it wasn't for loyalty, he'd definately be a head coach somewhere in the NBA.Thoughts?

Difficult for me knowing that Del is leaving. Del has been great for the team. My favorite assistant coach over the years he has been here, 99 I believe. Its hard for him to leave. Because the way he coaches and teaches defense is just tremendous. And the Mavericks are really going to miss that. I'm really glad Mavericks had him as an assistant though, great guy. Also has done some great international stuff...China & Puerto Rico.Del and Sam both this offseason are both tough losses for the team

Del Harris is a badass. I don't know much about Vincent... they said he was working with the Ft Worth Flyers, so I'm not going to cry about him. Del Harris though, he is a loss. I like that guy a lot. He is quiet, but when he says something, it matters.
