Anyway his stats didn't look bad but let see if he can put the numbers up his next 3 games. Because in the summer league he was little inconsistent after a good game he turned not so good.

Trent? More of a Bradley Beal imo.

Just hard to judge because so far we’ve only seen him in summer league, preseason, garbage time, and the g league. Nothing really structured about any of those and chucking isn’t looked down upon. We’ll see how he does when he gets rotation minutes in 2021!

I meant more because he's always looking to shoot first and it seems like passing is last on his mind.

If Trent can learn to defend (long shot with Stotts) IMO he'll be a future starter in this league. NBA pedigree and physical attributes, and by all accounts drive.

He's going to have to work awful hard to beat CJ in that category.

I hope so. I was going on what I saw in the Summer League. Based on this new highlight film...Trent is a star! I was wrong!

    ...I wish him well.

    Watched Gary's game.

Looked good as a spot shooter and got to his off the dribble game, but still looked uncomfortable at times finishing in traffic and pretty limited driving the lane overall. Just not a very quick or fluid athlete imo and has a really basic handle.

Looked ok defending on ball, but struggled as a team defender and on closeouts.

Bigger, Slower Tyler Dorsey is still my comp.

But even Tyler Dorsey is hardly an NBA player. In fact, if it wasn't for that lights shooting performance in the NCAA's, he'd be playing in Greece. Which is were he is going to probably end up eventually any way. So a Bigger Slower Tyler Dorsey means a Bigger, Slower Streak Shooter... basically.

That's what I think he is...although Gary is probably the better shooter.

So add that to his size advantage and I think he has a better chance to stick in the league past his rookie contract. But yeah, I don't think there's much upside past a low end rotation player.

Then I'd say he has a much better chance to stick than Dorsey. Dorsey would go two or three games at UO where he couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat. Trent's shot looks much refined. Not saying he isn't going to have his troubles sticking though.

As a Duck fan, I saw about every game Dorsey ever played. He was fooling himself into thinking he was an NBA player. Even Bell was too some extent. Brooks and Boucher were the NBA players on that Final Four team.

You may be right. It's just hard for me to get excited about him, even if he does manage to carve out a role.

Not at all impressed by that "highlight" video. I agree with the other assessments of him looking slow. He just looks awkward. No fluidity at all. And his spot ups felt slow too.

I hope he develops and improves a lot, because I don't see a lot based on the physical tools.

Watching Simons game, he's not playing right most but he has 7 points and one assist.

Both rookies did pretty good job in the first extending minutes. Trent playing tomorrow.

Major chucker alert. He got up 21 attempts in 24 minutes off the bench! He only had 2 assists.....
Next closest player was 13 attempts in 35 minutes of play.

I hope he reigns that in a bit. I'd absolutely hate playing with someone like that.
