Wrong about what? Mistake? All of this is a judgment call. You are saying they didn't do anything wrong. That is fine. I am saying everything I know tells me they are not innocent in this. I watched the videos. I can see with my two eyes and listen with my two ears what is going on. What is so difficult about this? I never wrote these kids should go to jail, be expelled, or anything. Nothing. I said simply that I am not buying the 'oh poor kids got mislabeled and they didn't do anything wrong'. Why? Because in my life I have been around people who have many of the same characteristics - checking all the same boxes - and it forms my opinion. Before the video I of course thought the worst. Then I watched the video and thought, 'hm. the black dudes made things bad. The native American made things bad/why did he approach? But I STILL felt the kids (because I relate to them from my 40 years on this planet) are also to blame' - why, because they had the gear on, yes, which we all know (lets be REAL) creates an emotion in people that isn't positive and has a track record of less-than-tolerant behavior, were chanting and (IN MY OPINION) mocking the Native Americans songs/chants. Is the mistake that I am not giving the kids a pass?

This is the same thing people say about cops mistreating black guys. That the cops have reasons to fear them from experience.

I can't say even say that it is wrong or against human nature. It just doesn't sound like a good way to judge people.

Those white kids could all be frat party rapists or they could cure cancer. Hard to judge them from this.

 

Because you sidestepped the bigger picture and issue going on.

First, i never said the kids were innocent.

Second, the issue is the blatant twisting and missrepresentations of the facts by the media outlets.

What IS obvious to me after watching all of the videos, is that the left media clearly and matter of factly cherry picked a full video to completely missrepresent the events at hand simply to cater to thier own agenda.

If the full video doesnt change the viewpoints, then why did they not just post it all to begin with?

This is going on on both sides and its the primary driving force of increasing frustration and lack of tolerance and compromise from either side.

But instead of admitting the wrong doings of the left media, you proceed to judge the kids based on your own predetermined opinion, based on your personal experience with rich white kids.
Ive come to expect this type of response from some around here because it would be thier norm. But not you.

I hear what you are saying. But I wasn't going on and on about the actual video, how it was edited or spliced etc. Clearly it was made to give off a certain look. It backfired. What my posts (if you go back and read them) were about is mainly, "I don't really care about the video/editing, I still think the kids are punks". I never even bothered to think of "admitting the wrongdoings of the left media". The media is a joke. I was concerned with the actual issue - this event. And initially everyone blasted the kids, then everyone went the other direction and took accountability off of them. That's where I was in disagreement. I don't think the kids are angels.

The issue, and i cant beleive im having to point this out, is yet again, another story is twisted and goes viral with condemnation from kneejerk reactionism fueled by those in control of the public. The media.

This should be the biggercissue everyone everywhere should be focused on. Not whether the kids are true saints or not.

We are in a very precarious time where tensions are high and many people are desperate for a leader they feel they can trust, if they are even able to trust leaders anymore.
And believe it or not, to the average american, their leader is thier chosen news outlet.
The power the media has is extremely alarming to me and this whole video thing is further evidence of just that.

We have got to put a stop to fake news some how. I wish i had an answer, but its soo appauling how our first amendment rights are being abused in such ways and i firmly beleive if it continues, it will be the catslyst to civil war followed by global war.

Reporters used to have cOde of honor to report the truth and its all been but sold out to the corporate viewpoints of thier respective owners.
