I fear damage has been done and is irreversible. I feel scared for my grandson. I always think it's more than polluting factories and more inter twined with what this country has experimented upon.

You error sir! I never denied climate change. Not ever, even once.
The Oceans are rising and they will until they stop. But that day is when you can really put your worry hat on.
 
climate change is real...I have no doubt. entire continents have drifted apart thoughout history...there are islands that will disappear...Sri Lanka will definitely have a problem as the whole country is about an inch above sea level ..these things have happened throughout time but we are triggering events that we probably shouldn't be...so I think keeping a low carbon footprint is a good thing after all is said and done. My advice...don't live on the coast or on the river..better to live high I always say

Sri Lanka and a hell of a lot of Florida won't make it with out a soaking first..

You know I searched through the Grants. Not one Grant paying for research to predict when the Oceans will stop rising. Tons of grants for other stuff like the
how much CO2 is transferred to the upper latitudes via AMOC. etc. Talked with the director of Hatfield research about this and if anyone was working on it.

None. They don't have much to do with Grant creation, they research.

Didn't say that either. I know we have climate change, it is not a question open to a believe system. Not so sure it matters if it is man made or not either.
But men do need to figure out how to survive the event.

A report I read the other day said that since 1993 the ocean levels are rising at twice the rate before 1993 and by 2100 the east coast could have some issues and London could possibly under water. My youngest grandson is only 4 so his kids and grandkids could be facing that dilemma if nothing is done. Fortunately the clown in charge will be done in 2 years or less.

Well, I doubt it. The cycle has been going on for millions of years, the difference is we are here this time. Did we cause it? I doubt it and here is why.

The last 8000 years, which covers a rise of about 50 feet.

We know the indigenous people of America came here beginning over 11000 years ago,
over the land that is now below sea level. I can see on NOAA navigation charts that the land in the Bering Sea they had to travel over is now 59 meter or about 194
below the current sea level. The lowest level of the sea in this current glacier cycle was some 18000 years ago during the peak of the last major glaciation.
It did not melt real fast so we can tell it took some 6000 or 7000 years before people began to cross this bare land with the glaciers also clearing away.

8000 years ago the land would have been covered by that time, some 140' deep. When you merge the picture you get from all branches of science you can see
this total picture does hang together.

Next the sea levels measure the last 300 years and the sea levels measured in the Marshall Island the last 65 years;

So you can see the sea rise has slowed considerable in the last 7000 years, since men have populated America.
It picked up for some reason around 1860. Then you see similar evidence in the Pacific Island the last 65 year',
but in mm or inches not feet or meters. Both chart show approximately the same data the last 65 years.
One chart has a bout a 3" rise where the other has it about 4.5" Difference is probably measurement technique and other factors.
Is this Man made?
Hell, I don't know!

But since we have been burning up the carbons, The rise overall is way down from what it was when the origin spear hunters first got here.

To me the real question is, when will the rise of the sea stop???? Because then the big driver of currents stop. And then the big heat transfer pump
is down, not working!!! Broken!!! Lord it will get cold in the North. And I mean north of California.

My ex wife was the same...preferred to be called Hispanic...grew up in San Diego...experience..all her family identified as Americans even as first generation....it's a topic you mention pretty often so I thought I'd point that out....it's culture or ethnicity not nationality...but hey...I don't care really

Ha! I don't have my Boat in Bandon anymore but the last time I did, there were three Mexican guys working on the dock there. Every time I saw them, it was a big greeting. Wearing their Maga hats, just pleased as hell to working those docks. It was the same in the shipyard in Oxnard too.

People are moving away from huge crop management and small farms are the answer...with technology now you can grow food in a small area
