I stand by my claim that trading him would help the franchise more than keeping him in the long run. If we can bring in O'neal or Garnett, keep him by all means, but what are the chances of that happening, especially with the Odom and Brown in surgery. If we have the same team in October 2007 that we did in October 2006, we're F*cked. This team needs a fresh start. To get that, they either need to bring a big name in, or kick a big name out.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Chris Duhon is good enough to fill that role. They would just need a role player who can do his job and that what Duhon brings to the table. He is a great hustler, good defender and passer. They could go after a PG, but he could fit the role.</div>Besides Duhon, they have no one else at pg really. It would become a weak spot and they would need to address. It just not a pg heavy market this year.

So Bucks have the right to match. MLE range should be matched.Edit: Read Mo isn't restricted. So he could be an option for Bulls. But with the MLE, it's an open market.

Exactly, Lakersfan. You only like Kobe if he stays, but if he's gone tomorrow, you act like you don't give a damn about it. Exactly why I was laughing, and that's exactly what I said in my first post.

A franchise that I hold above Kobe. If Kobe remains loyal and rescinds the trade demand....I'm cool with that because he chose to remain loyal to the Lakers. If he leaves, then he is turning his back on the franchise(that lied to him in past but regardless) and Laker fans everywhere. Simple as that. I am a fan of Kobe because I am a Laker fan. If he's not a Laker, I won't hate him but I won't care about him as I do now. I am a Laker fan first.

<div align="center"><span style="font-size:18pt;line-height:100%">Kobe's Future Team<span style="font-size:8pt;line-height:100%">By: KCX</span></span>[IMG]Now that the word on the street is: Kobe wants out I've decided to take a look at some teams and some possible trade scenarios. First off, I would like to take a look at my personal favorite, the Chicago Bulls. [IMG]Chicago BullsKobe's contract alone makes it very difficult to come up with a deal. The Chicago Bulls would have to trade players with the contracts adding up to $16.2 million. After July 1st, I believe the salaries would have to be even greater than that because of the rules of the NBA. Some possible scenarios would be Tyrus Thomas, Ben Gordon, Chris Duhon, Andres Nocioni which comes out to roughly $17-18 million. However John Paxson seems to love young talent but with Kobe in the lineup, I would say Chicago would be the team to beat. That would still leave a lineup of Kirk Hinrich, Kobe Bryant, Luol Deng, 9th Pick in the 2007 draft (maybe Spencer Hawes, Joakim Noah [and drafting Noah would be fine since they wouldnt need so much scoring low post anymore), and Ben Wallace. Instead of building younger to get better in the future, why not make the team instantly better and a bigger contender. I have heard people say the only way Lakers would trade Kobe would be to get Luol Deng. Honestly, I would have no problem with that because although I see Luol Deng as a probable future all-star- I can't really picture him as that 30 ppg player who hits game winning shots. If anything, I see him as an all-star second option on many teams. [IMG]Phoenix SunsI've heard rumors of Kobe going to the Suns. Now, how interesting would that be? The only way the Lakers would get rid of Kobe to the Suns is if they can get at least 2 of Phoenix's starters. Seeing as how this year went, it's safe to say one of those players would be Boris Diaw. The other one would have to be an all-star like Amare or Shawn Marion. Also, I would probably expect them to throw in a future first rounder too. [IMG][IMG][IMG]Miami, Dallas, ClevelandIt's as simple as him going straight up for Dirk, Dwyane, or LeBron. With the contract situations, age, and franchises - you can pretty much cross out Wade and LeBron. He would definitely have a better time in Dallas than he would in LA and the contracts are essentially the same but I would definitely expect Dirk not approve this. However, I heard them talking on sportscenter about Kobe going to Dallas and their scenario was Dallas trades Josh Howard, Jason Terry and Jerry Stackhouse for Kobe. That would be pretty sick for both teams. Kobe and Dirk would be the most dangerous duo in currently playing in the NBA. No more un-clutchness from Dirk because Kobe would pick up his slack and walk 500 miles and maybe Devin Harris would contribute a considerable amount as the sure-fire PG. Also, the Lakers would be such a great all-around team with no specific superstar. The lineup, I project would go as is: Smush Parker, Jason Terry, Josh Howard, Lamar Odom, Andrew Bynum. [IMG]Boston CelticsObviously, they [the Celtics] would have to trade most their talent. So this core of players would include Al Jefferson, Gerald Green, the 1st round draft pick, and maybe someone who will have an expiring contract to even out the contracts. But Kobe would be basically moving to another rebuilding team. But Imagine how good the Lakers would be with this. Smush, Green, Odom, Jefferson, Bynum with the #5 pick in this years draft. Kobe and Paul Pierce- I'm not too sure if that would even work out. They both play somewhat similar games and Kobe in a Boston uni is just too hard to imagine. </div>

CB32, LF247 can hate Kobe, because a man who betrays our team, cough Shaq can be hated now by Laker fans. I don't hate Shaq as much, but if Kobe got traded I would not hate him, but would not you know, love him as much, but I'd still love him like a role model he is to me.LakersFan247 and I are true fans. Not lil bandwagon bitches who would switch to Kobe's new team, if it goes down.

I can't see Kobe with any of these teams, but maybe that's just because I can't imagine Kobe not wearing a Lakers uniform on gameday. :dunno:

Second, how are you a true fan? You were the one that gave up on the Lakers early in the series with Phoenix and called it a sweep after only 2 games.

I think that the Nets and Magic are possibilities as well. You can see my topic in the Nets section about that trade idea, and the Magic have a few guys worth around $5 million a year that could be tradable. Either situation would be a pretty good one for Kobe.
