They wouldn't take Diaw, he sucked this year. I was thinking Marion....Raja(HAHA) and Barbs with a pick and we get Kobe and a filler in return. They won't trade him to us though.

If Kobe was ever traded, it would be a cold day in hell before they sent him to Dallas or Phoenix.

Kobe on Magic? Him and D12 would make a great duo.

I'm thinking the Lakers. Kobe's a dramatic guy who likes to go to the media when he gets worked up over something. That's what happened today. Personally, I don't see him leaving.

Does anyone else find it funny that even when they're not in the playoffs, the Lakers and Kobe are still the league's hottest topic?

No, the finals are all but D-U-N.does anyone but Piston and Cavs fans believe the Spurs WON'T win the Finals?probably not so the playoffs right now feel anti-climatic.with rumors of J.O'Neal, KG, Gasol and perhaps Kobe being available. Fans of teams not currently playing have loads to talk about.oh and the deepest draft in a while doesn't hurt either...

I hate it LeBron isnt getting any talk..which he probably likes. But we're talking about a 22 phenom who just might lead his team to the NBA Finals. Granted the series is still tied...but Kobe is taking all the talk. Once again, LeBron probably likes it though.Anyways Kobe is probably the most popular player(good or bad)in the NBA, and if not hes defiently up there. The guy asks to be traded from one of sports greatest organizations...of course the media is going to go frenzy over it.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (KobeBryant_24 @ May 31 2007, 12:29 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>CB32, LF247 can hate Kobe, because a man who betrays our team, cough Shaq can be hated now by Laker fans. I don't hate Shaq as much, but if Kobe got traded I would not hate him, but would not you know, love him as much, but I'd still love him like a role model he is to me.LakersFan247 and I are true fans. Not lil bandwagon bitches who would switch to Kobe's new team, if it goes down.</div>Here's the thing you don't seem to realize; Shaq and Kobe didn't betray the Lakers. The Lakers betrayed Shaq and Kobe. If what Kobe says is true, management lied to both their faces and fed them false information about each other that lead to Shaq's departure, then turned around and made it seem like Kobe was to blame for that mistake. Then to get Kobe to resign, they promised to put a team together that could compete right away, but told Phil Jackson they were rebuilding. Plus, Mitch Kupchack has simply sucked as a GM these past few years. In short, Kobe and Shaq have a reason to be pissed at the Lakers. It's understandable why they'd want to leave. This isn't a Ron Artest situation. PS: Kobe is your role model!? Riiiiiiiight. I'd go with someone like MLK, Jesus, or Ghandi personally, but good luck with that. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (ChuckTheD @ May 31 2007, 02:37 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Does anyone else find it funny that even when they're not in the playoffs, the Lakers and Kobe are still the league's hottest topic?</div>It's not funny or unusual at all. Los Angeles is either the largest or second largest city in the country. It's a HUGE market, with a storied franchise, and Kobe Bryant is one of the best and most accomplished players in the league who just demanded a trade out of nowhere. Of course it's the biggest story around right now.

After work I did some homework while listening to sports radio last night, and no kidding, it was all about Kobe Bryant, and they took caller after caller from L.A., and I listened in on for over 4 hours. What I didn't know yesterday was that Kobe Bryant did 2 L.A. Sports Talk Radio interviews, pretty much saying how frustrating everything has been, then he did the big national show with Stephen A. Smith where he officially for the first time asked for a trade. "I want to be traded, I hope they do the right thing." Then after that, he went on another Sports Talk Radio show and said, 'Man, I just hope we can work something out ya know? LA is my team man, I love it here." Did anyone else listen to these interviews? Last night I did, the whole time Kobe was stammering and after everything he let out a huge sigh or breath....it was just wierd. And the sports radio talk hosts last night (JT The Brick of FSN and Looney, a Lakers fan) were talking about the whole thing. JT said he listened all day to Kobe's interviews, and he said it sounded like a emotionaly wack, immature kid who was talking to his therapist. And it got me thinking. This is the same guy who got caught cheating on his wife, and the next day held a national press conference, sitting next to his wife and cried and said he was sorry and whatnot. What other athlete would do that? It really got me thinking. Then you have Kobe yesterday, flip flopping words, being a baby on radio, once again making him self look like an idiot and throwing the organization that writes his checks under the bus. It got me thinking, this guy is just a little off.

I seriously think Kobe's plan all along was to do this and in the end work it out. This to get the team to actually get on the same page with Kobe and have Jerry Buss actually call Kobe, work with him, and build a team around him and not for the long term.BTW it's Vick the Brick Jacobs...not JT.

The Brick, Fox Sports Radio. [IMG] You say that this was some master plan by Kobe Bryant, which it could have actually been. But don't you think thats a little wierd and kind of pathetic for a guy like Kobe Bryant to do? I would be pissed if my star player threw the organization under the bus in the media and said he wanted out than wanted to work things out....I don't know...

They fed him lies that they would rebuild now to re-sign him yet told Phil Jackson and had their own agenda of a longer term plan with Bynum etc.

It was shocking to hear Kobe just flat-out say that he wanted out of LA. when I heard that he didnt want the trade, I started thinking that the Kobe on the Stephen A. Smith show could have been an imposter...or maybe someone talked to him between 12 and 8 to make him change his mind. but with all of the heat between Kobe and Buss, maybe he is definitely on the market...but there is no way, unless there is another superstar involved in a Kobe trade, that the Lakers will win without him...no trading the first pick for him, nothing like that..Kobe is a winner and wherever he is, his team will manage to be successful.

Heres a good question. If you were portland would you trade Odens rights for him and Bynum? I know I would. although I dont see portland needing to do any deals outside of free agency.
