So Sly is really a CIA agent who keeps track of all of us when we travel and knows more about us than we think? How was my vacation last year Sly?
I believe it is pretty easy to scramble your IP if you want, no? Not sure if that should be used as a foundation to try to figure out who someone is?
Do Nothing -- is such a silly idea Also NeO you should be hard at work trying to make the team better not hanging out on this forum and starting this topic. -- LOL But being serious this is the thinking that keeps the Blazers stuck in the 4 to 8th seed with little to no shot at getting past the 1st round maybe 2.
No...? That's not how this works. You can do things to hide your IP, or make it "harder" to be tracked down. You could use a VPN, or a proxy server.
But that is sooooo much work. Why not just own up to who you are and be yourself. I'm way too lazy and really don't care what people think about my posts.
Exactly. IVe also heard of scramblers that continually sned out the wrong IP randomly. I dont know much about it, but im pretty sure some techs could make it happen around here if they wantd to.
When I travel for work or i'm on public wifi I use a VPN almost exclusively for security reasons, but I agree. I've never understood the idea of making multiple accounts and being a jerk / trolling on half of them. Guess other people like different things.
It's kind of how an IP proxy works, but a scrambled IP address wouldn't be hard to track down, there's more to it. Look up the TOR browser, that's kind of what they do, it's used mainly for Cybercrime and in countries that have heavily censored the internet. edit: just outing myself as a nerd, I've written code for many servers and clients and all that. My focus isn't on network engineering, but I've taken some classes on it and do a lot of it for work. My focus is more on robotics / ai / automation right now.
Honestly trolling doesn’t bug me, the main objective of a troll is to irritate you and get a heated response, therefore not being bugged usually stops the trolling.
Funny thing is if @Portland2014 stopped acting like a 2nd grader throwing a fit he'd realize some on this board share some of the same opinions as he does. Now that's not to say everyone shares his opinion of Lillard. But there are some on this board that in the past have stated they believe Lillard is overrated. However until he changes how he approaches a subject he'll always see people as BW fans who never criticize the team. Which is sad really because all @Portland2014 would have to do is open more than one thread to see multiple posters criticizing the organization from top to bottom. Unfortunately he doesn't, and more than likely won't ever. Therefore he gets called a troll, because that's what he's doing. Trolling. If he posted this in a game thread, it would be considered a 'hot take'.
The logic for AD as a unibrow doesn't equate to this franchise being mediocre. Does this really matter? We have nothing to do with what Olshey decides.
It's one of the tools that I have. It's not the only thing I use. Yes it is easy to scramble your IP address, so again, that's why it's only one of the things that I use.
